Prognostic Factors And The Results Of Different Therapeutic Modalities Of The Patients With Tongue Squamous Cell Carcinoma Between Different Nationalities In XinJiang

Objective:To analyze the therapeutic effect of different therapeutic modalities and the most prognostic significance of clinical parameters on patients with tongue squamous cell carcinoma between different nationalities in XinJiang.Methods:Complete clinical and follow-up data of132patients with pathologically confirmed tongue squamous cell carcinomas,initially treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of XinJiang Medical University were retrospectively analyzed.The survival rates were compared by Kaplan-Meier and Log-rank test among six groups:surgery alone (S),radiotherapy alone(R),surgery and radiotherapy(S+R),surgery and chemotherapy (S+C),radiotherapy and chemotherapy (R+C),surgery and radiotherapy and chemotherapy (S+R+C).multivariate analysis was conducted using the Cox proportional hazard model to establish independent prognostic factors and therapeutic modalities.Results:The mean survival time and the median survival time of the132patients were75.65months and80.00months,with the three and five-year survival rates of72.7%and59.8%.Univariate analysis showed that the3-year survival rates of S,R,S+R,S+C and S+R+C groups were85.7%,66.7%,96.8%,100%and81.8%for stage â… -â…¡,the3-year survival rates of S,R,S+R,S+C,R+C and S+R+C groups were37.5%,14.3%,92.3%,40%,14.3%and66.7%for stage â…¢-â…£.Multivariate analysis indicated that pathological grading,Primary tumors surgery,local recurrence,TNM-stage and radiotherapy were independent factors for prognosis.Multivariate analysis showed that surgery and radiotherapy,surgery and radiotherapy and chemotherapy were the independent prognostic factors.Conclusion:Pathological grading,primary tumors surgery,local recurrence,TNM-stage and radiotherapy are independent factors affecting the prognosis.Curative resection of the primary and rational cervical lymph node dissection and reduce local recurrence may improve the prognosis of patients.alone or comprehensive therapy including operation could give a better prognosis for stage â… -â…¡.Surgery and radiotherapy,surgery and radiotherapy and chemotherapy are better therapeutic modalities for stage â…¢-â…£,but the results of radiotherapy alone or radiotherapy and chemotherapy are poor for the middle and advanced stage.
