Objective:Through test and analyse the expression of Bcl-2,MMP-9and Vimentin protein inlung cancer and metastatic spinal tumors from lung cancer, understand thecharacteristics of the invasion and metastasis of lung cancer to the spine, and itsrelationship with clinical pathological features.Method:Immunohistochemical method was employed to examine60samples ofmetastatic spinal tumors from lung cancer,40samples of non-metastatic lung cancerand20normal lung tissue adjacent to the cancer focus, and compare the results.Results:1. The positive expression rates of Bcl-2protein in metastatic spinal tumors fromlung cancer, lung cancer and normal lung tissue were76.7%,57.5%and10%respectively, and the positive rate of Bcl-2protein in metastatic spinal tumorsfrom lung cancer was much higher than that of the other two groups, the differencehave statistical significance (P<0.05). There was no correlation between expression ofBcl-2protein and sex,age and pathological type(P>0.05). 2. The positive expression rates of MMP-9protein in metastatic spinal tumorsfrom lung cancer, lung cancer and normal lung tissue were85.0%,65.0%and20%respectively, and the positive rate of MMP-9protein in metastatic spinal tumors fromlung cancer was higher than that of the other two groups, the difference havestatistical significance (P<0.05). There was no correlation between expression ofMMP-9protein and sex, age and pathological type (P>0.05).3.The positive expression rates of Vimentin protein in metastatic spinal tumorsfrom lung cancer, lung cancer and normal lung tissue were88.3%,70.0%and30%respectively, and the positive rate of Vimentin protein in metastatic spinal tumorsfrom lung cancer was higher than that of the other two groups, the difference havestatistical significance (P<0.05). There was no correlation between expression ofVimentin protein and sex, age and pathological type (P>0.05).4. In the metastatic spinal tumors from lung cancer, there was positive correlationbetween Bcl-2and MMP-9,Vimentin protein expression(r>0, P<0.05).And they alsohave positive correlation between MMP-9and Vimentin protein(r>0, P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The research found that the expression of Bcl-2, MMP-9and Vimentin proteinhave increased in the metastatic spinal tumors from lung cancer, than lung cancer andnormal lung tissue, may be closely associated with lung cancer invasion andmetastasis to the spine.2. The expression of Bcl-2, MMP-9and Vimentin protein was not associated withsex, age and pathological type of the patients.3.There was positive correlation between Bcl-2, MMP-9and Vimentin proteinexpression. The common expression of Bcl-2, MMP-9and Vimentin protein may playa synergetic role in lung cancer invasion and metastasis to the spine.
