Objective:Observing the clinical effects of the therapy of Reduning injection to patients with MODS and respiratory failure, evaluating objectively the variation of symptom、physical sign、 and clinical index between experimental group and control group before and after the treatment, and approaching its mechanism from these two aspect of theory and clinical, by which would provide more reasonable therapeutic regimen for clinical of traditional Chinese medicine to treat multiple organ dysfunction.Methods:Selecting41cases that according with the standards of MODS. Adopting random and compare ways, dividing the cases into experimental group and control group. The experimental group includes21cases, the other group has20cases. The basic therapies for MODS are anti-infection, organs supportive treatment, nutritional therapy and so forth. Under the similar condition of basic therapy. The two groups were similar in basic treatment. The experimental group adds Reduning injection.(Reduning injection20ml join in normal saline injection250ml or5%glucose injection250ml or5%fructose injection250ml, once a day license No. Z20050217). Evaluating therapeutic efficacy and discussing mechanism by observing the change of TCM syndrome scoring, APACHE Ⅱ scoring in the first, third, seventh days, arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2), partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaO2),oxygen index(OI),the expression level of TNF-a,IL-6and White blood cell(WBC) in blood.Results:1.The scores of APACHE II of both two groups declined significantly from the third day (P<0.01), and more declined dramatically in the seventh day than before (P<0.01);2. TCM syndrome scoring of both two groups declined significantly in the third day and seventh day (P<0.01), especially the experimental group (P<0.01);3. The PaO2and OI significant increase in experimental group (P<0.05) and PaCO2decrease in the experimental group (P<0.05), its data compared with the control group differences were significant (p<0.01);4. IL-6,TNF-a and WBC of two groups both declined significantly(P<0.01), especially the experimental group (P<0.01)Conclusion:To compared with the control group, Reduning injection in the treatment of MODS with respiratory failure can more effectively improve MODS respiratory failure symptoms, promote physical recovery, prevent inflammatory factor damaging the local tissue, also avoid hitting distant organ, prevent the development of MODS.
