Objective:In patients with Barrett’s esophagus (BE), radiofrequency ablation(RFA) can eradicates dysplasia and intestinal metaplasia safety and effectively. Aimed to determine the efficacy and durability of RFA for patients with BE.Methods:Through the computer retrieval pubmed, medline, CNKI, wanfangdatabase to collect information, extract the effective data, and statisticalanalysis was performed using Stata version12.0.Results:We choice7studies (3477patients) reporting efficacy,in which including4studies (540patients) had reported durability. CE-IM was achieved in84%of patients (95%CI=0.74–0.94), CE-D was achieved in85%(95%CI,0.78–0.93)and the proportion of malignant progress is (8%CI,-0.03–0.2%). After eradication, IM recurred in9%(95%CI,0.04–0.13). Esophageal stricture was the most common adverse event and was reported in11%of patients (95%CI0.04–0.18,). Conclusions:Treatment of BE with RFA have a high proportion of patients in CE-D and CE-IM, few recurrences of IM after CE-IM and have low rate of adverse events. RFA is a good choice for patients with Barrett’sesophagus.
