Objective To set up animal model of pancreatoduodenaltransplantation in pigs with enteric drainage(ED) and systemic venousdrainage(SVD), discuss the feasibility of the model to treat diabetes, lay afoundation for clinical work for pancreas transplantation.Methods12close group white pigs were divided into dornor andreceptor groups randomly, for pancreatoduodenal transplantation with EDand SVD. The level of blood glucose, insulin, glucagon and amylase weremeasured at the following time:24hours before operation, before the startof anesthesia,30min after the pancreas removed, just the reperfusion,30min and12hours after the pancreatoduodenal transplantation, also eachday after the operation included. Postoperative complications and graftfunction were observed. Results The success rate of surgery was100%and the pancreatic coldischemia time was (138.72±12.46) min. One graft thrombosis occurred in1case. The levels of Insulin and glucagon were decresed30min after the pancreatectomy, recovered on the3nd day after transplantation. The levelof blood glucose decreased12hours after the operation, rised on first day,and recovered on3nd day. Conclusions The operation of pancreaticoduodenal transplantation inpigs is feasible and can be used as animal model to provide a reference forthe treatment of diabetes.
