Objective:To analyze the clinical features and survival of molecular subtyping in breast cancer patients. Methods:A total of256cases of operable breast cancer were analyzed retrospectively. Molecular subtypes, based on immunohistochemistry, were categorized as follows:Luminal A[ER(+)、PR(+),HER-2(-)and Ki67low-expr ession],Luminal B[ER(+),PR(-),HER-2(-)and Ki67high-expression or ER(+)/HER-2(+)], HER-2subtype[ER(-),PR(-),HER-2(+)] and Basal-like subtype[ER(-),PR(-),HE R-2(-)].The clinical features and prognostic status were analyzed. Results:Among t he256cases,126cases (49.22%) were Luminal A,47(18.18%) were Luminal B,35(13.67%)were HER-2(+)subtype, and48(18.75%)were Basal-like subtype. Molecular su btypes had no relation with patients age, tumors size, lymph node metastasis status, menstruation, chemotherapy, radiotherapy(P>0.05).Molecular subtypes had relation with histological grading(P<0.05).There was a significant difference between diseas e free survival of different molecular subtypes(P=:0.003).In different molecular subty pes, Luminal A had a good prognosis than the other three types, and the worst is Basal-like subtype. There was significant difference between overall survival of diff erent molecular subtypes(P=0.001).Luminal A had a best prognosis, secondly is Lu minal B, third is HER-2(+) and Basal-like is worse. Conclusion:Molecular subtyp ing could provide important information to predict the prognosis of breast cancer a nd might be the important basis for individual treatment of breast cancer in future.
