| Objective:To discuss the value of diffusion weighted imaging and apparent diffusion coefficients in the diagnosis of prostate cancer. Methods:Reviewed dates of patients of autonomous region people’s hospital from January2009to December2013, all the patients were confirmed by biopsy or surgery for prostate cancer or prostatic hyperplasia after the diffusion weighted imaging, compared prostate tissue ADC values of prostate cancer and hyperplasia in different b-value respectively, and analyze the correlation between ADC values and tumor Gleason score;ADC values and the the serum PSA. Results:95male patients, the oldest was85years old, smallest was49y, with an average age of69.89years. when b was600s/mm2, the average ADC values of central gland of prostate cancer and hyperplasia of prostate was (1.31±0.35)×10-3mm/s2;(1.55±0.17)×10-3mm/s2, the average ADC values of peripheral zone was (1.20±0.38)×10-3mm/s2;(1.42±0.23)×10-3mm/s2;when b was1000s/mm, the average ADC values in central gland was (1.12±0.36)×10-3mm/s2;(1.39±0.16)×10-3mm/s2, the average ADC values for peripheral zone was (1.04±0.35)×10-3mm/s2;(1.25±0.19)×10-3mm/s2.The difference of ADC values were statistically significant. The ADC values of prostate cancer were negatively correlated with Gleason scores,(r=-0.346, P=0.025) and serum PSA level (r=-0.315, P=0.026). Conclusion:ADC values is an important index of differential diagnosis of prostate cancer and prostatic hyperplasia, and can predict the biological characteristics of prostate cancer. |
