| Objective:To observe the effect of Vernonia Anthelmintica Willd Injection on the level of Smad3and SP-D with SiO2induced pulmonary fibrosis and discuss the action of VAW with pulmonary fibrosis in rats. Methods:Ninety male Wistar rats in good conditions were divided in to there groups at random:control group(NS group),model group (SiO2group), treatment group(SiO2+VAW intervention group),n=30, Using the dye dust exposure tracheal law, the rats were then intratracheally dripped with SiO2in model goup and treatment group, while a rat of1ml0.9%saline in control group.Treatments started from the next day with a daily inhalant VAW in treatment group, while inhalant saline in control group and model group.Respectively,6rats were sacrificed at1,7,14,21,and28days.After Lungs isolated for Hematoxylin and eoain staining; the expression of SP-D was by ELISA technique; the expression of Smad3protein was by immunohistochemical technique. Results:The alveolitis and pulmonary fibrosis in SiO2+VAW intervention group was alleviated significantly compared with those in SiO2model group. The expression of Smad3protein and SP-D higher in SiO2model group (P<0.05).Conclusion:VAW can ameliorate SiO2induced pulmonary fibrosis in rats;it may partly work by modulating the expression of Smad3protein and SP-D in lung tissue. |
