Objective:To value the effect of Multiloop Edgewise Arch Wire technique in skeletal class â…¢ malocclusion. Method:Nine skeletal class â…¢ patients(4male,5fem ale)with permanent dentition are included,whose average age is18.5range from14to21.They were all treated with Multiloop Edgewise Arch Wire following a basic level and alignment using straight wire appliance. Anterior cross bite was resolved and class â… molar and canine relationship were established with MEAW technique in all the patients.Cephalometric were taken and studied before and after treatment. Measurement the model before and after the treatment. Result:After the treatment, the difference of FH-MP, OP-MP, FMIA, OB, OJ, OP-MP, UL-SnPg’ to LL-SnPg’ is increased(P<0.01), Li-NB, IMPA, Li-MP is decreased(P<0.01), SNA, SNB, FM A, APDI and Y-axis, PG-NB, Ui-SN, ODI difference has no statistical significance (P>0.05) before or after treatment. Conclusion:Labial tipping of upper anterior t eeth,mesialization of upper posterior teeth,lingual compromised tipping of lower ant erior teeth and distal tipping of lower posterior teeth were observed with little skel etal change,and occlusion plane became flat.MEAW technique is an effective metho d in skeletal class â…¢ treatment which can be carried out at various medical institu ti-ons. |
