A substantial part Acinetobacter species are opportunistic pathogens, and could causea series of nosocomial infections. Owing to the abuse of antibiotics,multidrug-resistant isolates have been increasingly reported. Acinetobacterhaemolyticus is a species of Acinetobacter with hemolytic and proteolytic activities.The clinical detection rate of A.haemolyticus is increasing in recent years, and some ofwhich have shown drug resistance. Therefore, A.haemolyticus attracts more and moreattention. High through-out sequencing has revolutionized the field of genomics.Obtaining the whole genome sequence of Acinetobacter through high through-outsequencing is with importantly clinical significance to explore the mechnism ofpathogenesis and drug-resistance.The A.haemolyticus H2063was iaolated from Second Affiliated Hospital of TianjinMedical University, which was confirmed as a susceptible strain by drugsusceptibility testing. Complete genome sequenceing of A.haemolyticus wasperformed using Roche454GS FLX Titanium and Ion torrent PGM, and the raw datawas assembled using Newbler. Fifteen scaffolds were obtained with eighty-five gapsafter assemly. The gaps within and between the scaffolds were filled through PCR.Only four scaffolds are left finally, of which the largest one was3,418,036bp. Thegenome was3,502,567bp by far, and3398genes were annotated, representing87.35%of the whole sequence. A.haemolyticus H2063harbored ten putative genomeislands, including genes related to virulence factors and metabolisms. It carried a genecluster involved in synthesis and transport of acinetoferrin, which may play a role inuptake of iron under limiting conditions. A.haemolyticus H2063carried ablaOXA-214-like gene, an acc(6’)-Ig gene and some drug efflux pump related genes,which were potentially involved in drug-resistance. Until now, A.haemolyticus H2063is with the highest degree of assembly among A.haemolyticus, and it may serve as areference for others. As a susceptible strain, the genome of A.haemolyticus H2063would be used as a control for other drug-resistant ones.
