| Purpose:The subjects were 45 athletes from national swimming team, badminton and volleyball of right shoulder pain. Under no training conditions, the athletes were arranged strength training, compared with the traditional treatment (physical therapy group and traditional Chinese medicine group). Trying to understand strength training and stretch therapy for pain in the shoulder and shoulder muscle group on the improvement of their power, and providing a new rehabilitation method for the shoulder injuries of the athletes.Method:The subjects were 45 athletes from national swimming team, badminton and volleyball of right shoulder pain. All athletes were divided into 3 groups by random number table method, including 15 athletes after 6 weeks of seven strength training,15 athletes after 6 weeks of five times short wave, ultrasonic treatment,15 athletes after 6 weeks of acupuncture and massage treatment. Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Shoulder Isokinetic Testing(flexion and extension, abductor and adductor, internal and external screw of shoulder) were used to evaluate the efficacy before and after the treatment. Then comparison between the three groups in Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Shoulder Isokinetic Testing. The study used independent samples T-Test to analyze the differences and correlation of those indexes.Result:There was not statistically significant (P>0.05) before the treatment of three groups, between Visual Analog Scale and Shoulder Isokinetic Testing. But after six weeks of treatment, there was an significant difference (p<0.05)before and after the treatment, between Visual Analog Scale (Neer test, Hawkins test, infraspinatus test and cross adduction test) and Shoulder Isokinetic Testing (peak torque, peak torque to body weight ratio and peak torque ratio) of 15 athletes from strength training group. The same results also appear both physical therapy and traditional Chinese medicine treatment. The difference had statistical significance (P<0.05) after the treatment of three groups. Further, the result of strength training was better than physical therapy group and traditional Chinese medicine group, there was an significant difference (p<0.05).Conclusion:The strength training can effectively improve pain and the power of muscles around shoulder joints of athletes, and can also improve to some extent for physical therapy and traditional Chinese medicine treatment. But the effects of strength training was better than physical therapy group and traditional Chinese medicine group. |
