Research On Medical Performance Management Based On EM Algorithm

With the reform of economy in China, Health Management and financing made adjustments accordingly. Medical industry tends to be more competitive. In order to improve the efficiency of the hospital, to strengthen internal management and enhance the overall competitiveness of the hospital, it’s more and more important to set up a scientific and reasonable performance evaluation system. RBRVS, an assessment method of paying the costs of health care services,is introduced to the domestic hospitals. This paper is mainly to solve the problem of classifing the nursing unit by EM algorithm. At the theoretical level, This paper firstly gives a brief introduction of hospital performance management, performance appraisal method, RBRVS evaluation system, the EM algorithm and Gauss mixture model. At the empirical level, this paper selects 42 nursing units in Shandong hospital for cluster analysis. Based on EM algorithm, the results show that the method can reflect the working difficulty and the risk of danger.the method of using kmeans initialization can run faster and more stable.
