| Objective: This artical aims to research Survivin and Smac protein in normal ovarian tissues 〠benign ovarian tumor and ovarian epithelial carcinomas, and study the expression level of their respective with epitheial ovarian cancer of the pathological features, study the correlation between the two, preliminary study on both in the occurrence and development of epithelial ovarian cancer, in order to seek theoretical and experimental evidence for the pathogensis of epithelial ovarian cancerã€judge the malignant degree and the assessment of prognosis.Methods: Randomly selected from the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College from December 2011-2013 May operation resection and diagnosis of epithelial ovarian cancer specimens from 60 patients as the experimental group, with 20 cases of operation resection of ovarian bengin tumor and 20 cases of normal ovary tissue as matched group. Apply immunohistochemistry method to detect Survivin and Smac protein expression in different tissues, analysis the relationship of the two with the onset ageã€clinical stageã€pathological gradeã€histological types and lymph node metastasis in epithelial ovarian cancer patients, to discuss the relationship between Survivin and Smac with the occurrence and the development and prognosis of epithelial ovarian cancer.Results: 1. Survivin protein was mainly expressed in the nucleus, a small amount in the cytoplasm. In epithelial ovarian cancer expression rate of 68.3%, significantly higher than that of begin ovarian tumor(20%) and normal group(0%), the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Compared with the expression of Survivin in epithelial ovarian cancer tissue and benign ovarian tumor have obvious difference(P<0.05),meanwhile with the expression in normal ovarian tissues have significantdifference(P<0.05), but the expression of Survivin in normal ovarian tissue and ovarian benign tumor have no statistical significance(P>0.05).2ã€Smac protein was mainly distributed in the cytoplasm, occasionally in the nucleus. In epithelial ovarian carcinoma ite expression rate was 46.7%, significantly lower than that of benign ovarian tumor(75%) and normal ovarian tissue(90%), the difference was significant(P<0.05). Comparison between the two groups, expression of Smac in epithelial ovarian cancer tissue and benign ovarian tumor tissue have significant difference(P<0.05), the same time, with the expression of Smc in normal ovarian tissue also have significant difference(P<0.05). But there in no significant difference between the expression of Smac in noraml ovarian tissue and ovarian benign tumor tissues(P>0.05).3ã€Expression of Survivin and Smac were associated with ovarian cacer pelvic lymph node metastasis, clinical stage, histological classification(P<0.05), and have no obvious correlation the with pathologic type(P>0.05).4ã€In 60 cases of epithelial ovarian cancer tissue, the positive expression of Survivin and negative expression of Smac in 30 cases, the positive expression of Smac and negative expression of Survivin total of 17 cases, both positive expression was 11 cases,and both negative expression in 2 cases. By using Spearman rank correlation and analysis, show that the two was negatively correlated with the expression in epithelial ovarian carcinoma(r=-0.584,P<0.01).Conclusion: 1ã€The Survivin have high expression in epithlial ovarian cancer tissue, and have correlation with the clinical stage, pathological grade and lymph node metastasis.may be involved in the tumorigenesis of ovarian cancer, and may be become indicator to evaluate the malignant degree and the poor prognosis of ovarian cancer2ã€The low espression or absence of Smac may promote the occurrence and development of epithelial ovarian carcinoma, and correlated with clinical stage,histological grade and lymph node metastasis, may indicate the tumor invasiveness strong and poor prognosis.3ã€Survivin and Smac are involved in the pathogenesis of epithelial ovarian cancer, but was negatively related to the expression between the two, their combination has thepotential for ovarian cacer early diagnosis, judging prognosis and malignant degree and treatment of molecular targeted therapy provides certain value. |
