Objective: Atherosclerosis(Atherosclerosis, AS) is a chronic pathological process disorder of lipid metabolism and inflammation of interaction Anti-inflammatory cytokine is a new found anti-inflammatory cytokine, it can be expressed in foam cells of atherosclerotic plaque, participate in the process of atherosclerosis. Granulocyte Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor, GM-CSF can be secreted from inflammatory cells in plaque, it lead to unstable of plaque by promoting blood vessels newborn,to promote the development of the AS lesions. C Reactive Protein, the inflammatory response of CRP is closely related to the development of atherosclerosis, especially in the unstable plaques, the inflammatory activity of CRP is more apparent. By observing the expression level in serum of inflammatory factors such as IL- 37, gm-csf, CRP,discuss the relationship of these inflammatory factors and atherosclerosis, plaque stability, to confirm the clinical significance of these inflammatory factors. Methods: 43 cases of hospitalized patients were selected in The second hospital of Hebei medical university diagnosed with atherosclerosis from September 2014 to February 2015. And according to the result of artery ultrasound case group was divided into 12 cases unstable plaque group(group A) and 31 cases stable plaques group(group B). At the same time 21 cases of healthy control were selected from Center of Health Examination,The third hospital of Hebei medical university as control group. Collect patients and the healthy’s physical message(including age, gender), smoking history, Total cholesterol(TC), Triglyceride(TG), Low density lipoprotein(LDH), High density lipoprotein(HDL), CRP and homocysteine(Hcy), etc; Using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) to detect expression level of IL- 37, gm-csf in peripheral blood serum and to be analyzed retrospectively. Using SPSS13.0 software to analyze data, P<0.05 for the difference was statistically significant.Results:1 General information of cases43 patients in atherosclerosis group, including 36 cases of men and 7 cases of women. Patients aged 21 to 87 years old, average age is 59.81±12.73. There was no statistically significant difference comparing atherosclerosis group and control group in age, gender,(t, χ2 value were 1.198, 1.198, P>0.05). 12 patients in unstable plaque group(group A), including 10 cases of men, 2 cases of women. Patients aged 21 to 87 years old, average age is 62.75±17.90. 31 patients in Stable plaque group(group B), including 26 cases of men, 5 cases of women. Patients aged 40 to 77 years old, average age is 58.68-10.24. There was no statistically significant between Group A, group B and control group in age, gender(Z, χ2 value respectively 1.302, 0.002, P>0.05)2 Related biochemical indexes comparison between atherosclerosis group and the control groupTC, TG, HDL, LDH difference between the two groups has no statistically significant(Z or t value respectively are- 0.479,-1.43,- 0.758,-0.085, P>0.05). Homocysteine levels between the two groups: homocysteine expression level of atherosclerosis group increased obviously, difference was statistically significant(Z =-6.023, P<0.05).3 Inflammatory factors level comparison between atherosclerosis Group and the control groupIL- 37, gm-csf, CRP levels increased obviously, difference was statistically significant(Z value respectively 4.705, 3.025, 4.547, P<0.05).4 Inflammatory factors level comparison between groupsgroup A and B compared with control group respectively, Expression levels of IL- 37, GM-CSF, CRP were increased obviously, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05); Group A compared with group B, GM-CSF expression levels were increased obviously, the difference was statistically significant(Z =-3.130, P<0.05), expression levels of IL- 37, CRP no obvious increase, there was no statistically significant difference(Z value were-1.016 and-1.814 respectively, P>0.05).Conclusions: IL- 37, GM-CSF and CRP were involved in the process of atherosclerosis, there are close relations between the increase of GM-CSF levels and unstable plaques, the result can help diagnose and treat atherosclerosism early, early detection and intervention of instability plaque to reduce plaque loss witch can cause critical organs such as heart, brain and body embolism occurred.
