A Preliminary Study About The Mechanism Of Cupoint-injection Therpy Of Danshen Associated With Chinese Medicine In Treatment Of Female Acne Vulgaris

ObjectiveIn order to to explore the mechanism of the traditional chinese medicine in treating femalacne,we evaluate the clinical efficacy and observe the changes of serum estradiol and testosterone level after the treatment, through a randomised controlled clinical trial of treatingmild-moderate levels female acneof Yin-deficiency inner heat type by acupoint injection of Danshen injection combined XiaoCuoTangoral Decoction and topical SanHuang lotion. Theresulte of this study provides a theoretical basis for clinical treatment of acne.MethodsThis researchwas carried out by clinical randomised control study.75female acne patients of mild-moderate levels of YIN-deficiency and interior-heat typewere randomly divided into treatment group (50 cases) and control group (25 cases) according to 2:1. The two groups were givenXiaoCuoTang oral Decoction and topical SanHuang lotion, the treatment group combined acupoint injection of Danshen injection at the same time.We recorded the skin lesions score and adverse events at 0 weeks,4 weeks, and 8 weeks after the treatment, evaluated the clinical effect and observe the serum level of estradiol and testosterone at 4 weeks and 8 weeks after the treatment of each group.We preliminarily investigatethe mechanism of acupointinjection of Dansheninjection combined with oral and topical Chinese medicine in treating mild-moderate levelsfemale acneof yin deficiency inner heat type by the changes of serum testosterone and estradiol levels after treatment. Results1. Results of the overall effect:After four weeks treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group is 43.48% and 21.74% respectively, and after eight weeks treatment the result is 83.72% and 66.67% respectively. The total efficiency show that the difference between two groups is statistically significant (P<0.05). And it suggestes that the treatment group is much better than the control group In terms of clinical efficacy.2.The total number of lesions:Comparison of the total treatment of skin lesions between two groups after four weeks and eight weeks, the rank-and-testing shows the difference between two groups is statistically significant(P<0.05). And it suggests that the treatment group is much better than control group in improving the skin lesions3. the level of sex hormone:After eight weeks treatment, comparison of the serum levels of testosterone、estradiol、testosterone/estradiol of the two groups before and after treatment, the difference are not statistically significant (P>0.05). The result shows that the difference of serum testosterone and estradiol level、 testosterone/estradiol after treatment of both group have no obvious change.Comparison of the serum levels of testosterone、estradiol、 testosterone/estradiol between two groups after eight weeks treatment, the rank-and-testing shows the difference between two groups is not statistically significant (P>0.05). And the result shows that the regulating effect of the treatment group on the levels of serum testosterone and estradiol has no significant difference compare with the control group.ConclusionAupoint-injection therpy of Danshen injection associated with Xiaocuotang oral dection and topic Sanhuang lotion in treating Female acne of mild-moderate level of yin-deficiency inner heat type is much better than Oral and topic Chinese medicine treatment. And Whether the mechanism is through the regulation of serum testosterone and estradiol to achieve the purpose of treatment, it needs further study.
