Purposes: This study chooses a military hospital as the research object, establishes the system of evaluation index, and collects the relevant data at the same time. Military benefit, social benefit and economic benefit of the hospital are analyzed from 2010 to 2014 and the purpose is to analyze whether the input and output of the hospital reasonable or not and to provide suggestions for further development of the hospital. Some parts of the hospital are also selected as the research object and analyzed by selected representative indicators. The various departments in terms of input and output of redundancy and deficiency, and put present corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for future development.Method: This research adopts document study method, panel discussion method, the optimal sequence diagram method to build a comprehensive benefit evaluation index system of a certain army hospital. Collecting relevant data of the hospital from 2010 to 2014 and using the comprehensive index method to analyze the annual hospital input-output condition and input-output ratio; related data of some departments in 2014 is collected and analyzed by DEA method. In the entire research process, excel, and Max DEA software are used for data entry, statistics and analysis.Results:(1) set up an evaluation index system of comprehensive benefit in a certain army hospital including military benefit, social benefit, economic benefit;(2)From 2010 to 2014, annual year presented a growth trend in input index and output index, but the change of comprehensive benefit did not accord with each year exactly, the comprehensive benefit of 2012 was higher than 2013;(3) There were 19 departments having Efficiency score of 1 in 2014 such as A department, B department, C department, F department, G department, suggesting that 19 departments achieved the balance of input and output, and there was no shortage of input redundancy. There were 10 departments having efficiency score which was below 1 in 2014 such as H department, E department, S department, K department, suggesting that 10 departments exist insufficient input redundancy and output. Conclusions :(1) Comprehensive benefit of the hospital is in good condition, while resource should be optimized. From 2010 to 2014, hospital input kept increasing, military benefit, social benefit and economic benefit all showed increasing trend.(2) Most departments were effective, and some departments operate ineffectively. 65.5% of departments were valid in DEA score and 34.5% of departments were invalid in DEA score. In input aspect, stuff and beds were saturated, the redundancy focus in funds and armarium. In output aspect, the hospital did well in guarantying army men’s treat, while having great potential in ensuring army men’s outpatient service, ensuring ordinary people’s outpatient service, ensuring ordinary people’s hospital service, reducing average length of stay and promoting medical profit.Suggestions:(1) Realize importance of comprehensive benefit evaluation work in hospitals.(2) Increase investment reasonably and optimize department internal resources optimization.(3) Government pays attention to comprehensive benefit evaluation work in hospitals.
