The study was to compare the short-term clinic efficiency assessment of immediate implant restoration and delayed implant restoration of single tooth in the maxillary esthetic zone. By comparing the success rate, the PES score, the vertical absorption of alveolar bone and the patients’ satisfaction of two kinds of implant restorations,to evaluate the clinic efficiency of two implant restorations.Objective To observe the differences of clinical efficiency and aesthetic assessment between immediate implant(IIR)restoration and delayed implant restoration(DIR)in the maxillary anterior teeth zone. Throught the PES score and the patient’ satisfaction to assess the clinic significance of two kinds of the implant restoration using XIVE implant system,which can provide the consult for clinicians that how to slect implant system and the implant pattern, improving the clinic efficiency of implant restoration better in the esthetic zone.Method We select 17 cases which has completed with the immediate implant restoration of single tooth in the maxillary anterior zone,choose 20 cases which has completed with the delayed implant restoration in the same place at the same time.37 patients who would undergo implant restoration of single tooth in the maxillary anterior zone were randomly designed as IIR group(n=17)and DIRgroup(n=20). After 12 months follow-up, evaluate the aesthetic effect and satisfaction of the two groups of patients through the contour of gingival papilla, bone absorption, and satisfaction surveys.Result The PES were(9.82±2.40) and(9.70±1.69)in IIR group and DIR group respectively when they leave the hospital with final crown restoration. After 12 months, the success rate of both groups implants was 100%, and the PES were(11.12±2.47) and(10.40±1.93)in IIR group and DIR group respectively. There were no significant differences of PES between two groups when they leave the hospital with final crown restoration and 12 months later,the observation of X-ray showed that the vertical absorption of bone were(0.41±0.10mm) and(0.79±0.09mm)in IIR group and DIR group respectively,and more bone was absorbed in DIR group than IIR group after 12 months. There were significant differences of bone absorption between two group(P<0.05). The satisfaction score of restoration’s color, attachment height, masticatory function and overall appearance were(8.7±1.0,8.8±0.6,8.8±1.,8.8±1.2) and( 8.6 ± 1.1,6.4 ± 1.3,7.3 ± 0.6,7.5 ± 1.3) in IIR group and DIR group respectively.The satisfaction rate of of IIR group was higher than that of DIR group(p<0.05).Conclusion Compared to DIR, IIR had the same implant survival rate and PES, and IIR had lower bone vertical absorption rate and higher aesthetic assessment score.
