Objectives1. To understand the current situation of malnutrition in patients with with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). 2. To analyze the correlations between nutrition indicators and pulmonary function, like FEV1 / FVC and FEV1 pred % in patients with COPD. 3. To investigate the relationship between nutrition indicators and the between the risk of acute aggravating in patients with COPD. 4. To study the correlation among nutritional indicators 、 lung function and acute episodes in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. 5. To Compare the differences of nutrition between mechanical ventilation group and non-mechanical ventilation group in patients with COPD.Methods159 cases of COPD patients who were hospitalized with acute aggravating, were all came from Dept of Respiratory Medicine,The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University.Col ecting the detailed medical history and recording the nutritional parameters 、acute episodes 、 m MRC 、 FEV1/FVC and FEV1pred% of the 159 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Nutritional parameters included height, weight, globulin, albumin, former protein and lymphocyte count.Recording the state of mechanical ventilation during the hospitalization at the same time.According to the number of exacerbation in the last year, all the patients were divided into acute exacerbation high-risk group and the low risk of exacerbation group. And all the patients were divided into four groups according to the guidelines of diagnosis and treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(2013 revision). To process the data with computer SPSS16.0 analysis software.Results1.The malnutrition rates of BMI,albumin and lymphocyte count in COPD patients were 52.2%,42.8% and 48.4%. 2.BMI,albumin,former protein and lymphocyte count were correlate with FEV1 / FVC,FEV1pred%,but globulin. 3.Nutrition status of the low risk of acute exacerbation group was superior to the highrisk group. The difference of BMI,albumin, former protein and lymphocyte count compared among four groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),but globulin. 4.The differences of nutrition status between mechanical ventilation group and nonmechanical ventilation.ConclusionsBMI,albumin and lymphocyte count can be used in nutritional assessment in patients with COPD.About half of the patients with COPD combined with malnutrition, and malnutrition had an effect on the prognosis.Nutritional status had the correlation with pulmonary function 、 mechanical ventilation and the risk of acute exacerbation.Attention should be payed to the nutrition of patients with COPD in clinical work, and nutritional intervention should be put into effect timely.
