Rev Man5.2 statistical software was used for Meta-analysis.Results:Eight studies was included in the meta-analysis,1285 cases of infertility patients was involved, Oral antioxidant supplementation group 794 cases, and the placebo or no treatment/standard treatment group 491 cases. Compare the outcome of oral antioxidants supplementation (including antioxidant combination agent, pentoxifylline, melatonin, L-arginine, ascorbic acid, vitamin E, vitamin C, folic acid, inositol plus folic acid) with placebo、no treatment/standard treatment. Comparison of clinical pregnancy rate, live birth rate, miscarriage rate and multiple pregnancy rate, the results show that antioxidant(s) versus placebo or no treatment/standard treatment, the clinical pregnancy rate was not significant increased[OR=1.06,95% CI (0.82-1.37), p=0.66]; live birth rate was not significant increased (OR=1.16,95% CI 0.57-2.36, P=0.68); miscarriage rate was not significant increased (OR=1.27, 95% CI 0.56-2.88, P=0.57); multiple pregnancy rate also was not significant increased (OR=0.74,95% CI 0.40-1.37, P=0.34)。Conclusion:There was no evidence that taking an antioxidant may provide benefit for infertility women undergoing IVF/ICSI treatment cycles, compare with placebo or no treatment/standard treatment, the outcome of antioxidant(s) supplementation (Including the clinical pregnancy rate, live birth rate, miscarriage rate and multiple pregnancy rate) was not significant increased, however, there did not appear to be any evidence of obvious adverse effects. At this time, there is no evidence to recommend supplemental oral antioxidants for infertility women undergoing IVF/ICSI treatment cycles.
