| Objective To study THBS2 expression and VEGF, MMP †2,MMP †9 and CD34 correlations,exploring their impact on the gastric cancer angiogenesis and prognosis.Methods Using tissue microarray(156 samples)and immunohistochemical technology test the expression of THBS2, VEGF, MMP †2, MMP †9,and CD34 markers vascular endothelial cells to calculate MVD.Expression of THBS2 was tested in 40 cases of gastric cancer(OS≥10years) and 30 cases of tissues(OS≤3years) using immunohistochemistry and tissue microarray.Results The protein expression of THBS2 in 120 gastric cancer tissues is remarkably lower than 36 normal tissues(p<0.05).The protein expression of VEGF, MMP â€2and MMP â€9 are remarkably higher than normal tissues(p<0.05). MVD(46.52 ±19.57) in THBS2 positive expression of gastric cancer tissue significantly lower than THBS2 negative gastric cancer tissue(57.90 ±16.99)(P < 0.05).Negative correlation of THBS2 and VEGF, MMP †2,MMP †9 protein expression were found(r =†0.574ã€â€0.447ã€â€0.599, P < 0.01).The protein expression of THBS2 in 40 cases of gastric cancer(OS≥10years) remarkably higher than 30 cases of tissues(OS≤3years)(p<0.05).Conclusion 1) THBS2 protein expression level in gastric cancer tissue is significantly lower than that of normal gastric mucosa tissues.2) Between THBS2 expression in gastric cancer tissue and VEGF, MMP-2,MMP-9 was significantly negative correlation, and affect the angiogenesis of gastric carcinoma. 3) THBS2 expression level may influence the angiogenesis and prognosis of gastric cancer. |
