Clinical Study On The Effect Of Blood-letting And Cupping Plus Acupuncture Therapy On Herpes Zoster

ObjectiveThrough observeing the degree of curative effect, course of treatment, patients, etc of blood-letting and cupping plus acupuncture therapy on herpes zoster to analyze its feasibility. The emphasis is on regulateing the technical operation, evaluating the effectiveness and the study of its therapeutic mechanism. we aimed to provide reliable evidence for the optimization plan of acu-moxibustion therapy on herpes zoster, and wish to open up a new way of cureing the herpes zoster and spreading it.MethodFrom April 2014 to February 2015,60 patients with herpes zoster accordant with the inclusion criteria were selected from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM. Patients were randomly assigned into the blood-letting and cupping plus acupuncture therapy group (test group) and pure acupuncture group (control group) in the proportion of 1:1, with 30 cases in each group.Test group received blood-letting and cupping plus acupuncture therapy while control group received acupuncture therapy only, with the same acupoints and operation. Both groups were given on 10 days in all and then we arranged the curative effect data and transacted it with SPSS21.0 soft ware.ResultsThere is no statistical significance differences in the general information and pretreatment evaluation parameters of the patients (P>0.05), which showed that the two groups had comparability. The comparison of overall effectiveness:24 cases were clinical cured,6 effective and 0 invalid in test group, while among the 30 cases in control group,15 cases were clinical cured, 13 effective and 2 ineffective, statistically significant differences was observed (P<0.05) by the rank sum test. There is noticeable difference between the time for blisters ceasing to grow,the time for its incrustation and decrustation between the two groups (P<0.05). Both groups can alleviate the pain, and there is noticeable difference between the two groups after the treatment (P<0.05). There is difference of the time of odynolysis. There is noticeable difference of the grading for comprehensive curative effect between the two groups (P<0.05), and there is difference of the comprehensive curative effect between the two groups (P<0.05).ConclusionFollowing main conclusions are obtained:1. Regulated the technical operation of blood-letting and cupping plus acupuncture therapy on herpes zoster.2. Blood-letting and cupping plus acupuncture therapy on herpes zoster is effective, and there is Significant advantages than others.3. Blood-letting and cupping plus acupuncture therapy on herpes zoster has many advantages, such as simple to operating, low costing, definite curative effect, no side effectts, acceptable, and which is worthy of wide use.
