ObjectiveTo explore the effect of Xingnaojing injection combined with western medicine treatment of septic encephalopathy whether has the more exact clinical curative effect and whether it can significantly reduce the hospitalization expenses and hospitalization in ICUMethodsIn the prospective randomized control study from 2013 October to 2015, March in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine encephalopathy in patients with septic ICU total of 60 cases of hospitalized. According to the random grouping principle, the selected patients were divided into treatment group and control group, the control group was treated with conventional therapy of Western medicine, while the treatment group based on the treatment in control group treated with Xingnaojing Injection in the treatment of. The treatment group and the control group were respectively 30 cases. Control group:treated with anti-infection, immune therapy, cerebral protection, even according to the condition changes to mechanical ventilation, hypothermia, insulin and other conventional treatment of Western medicine. The treatment group:treated in the control group treated with Xingnaojing injection of 20ml treatment (250 diluted infusion with 5-10% Glucose Injection or 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection), the two groups were treated for 1 weeks. Through the detection of all cases before and after treatment for 24 hours,48 hours,72 hours,1 weeks of C-reactive protein (CRP) and procalcitonin (PCT) level, and using Glasgow unconscious coma. Rating Scale (GCS) score in two groups before and after treatment to assess the therapeutic effect of two groups. Differences, and compared two groups of patients with ICU and ICU length of time between the hospitalization expenses. The efficacy of standard heal:conscious, GCS score 15 points; effect:GCS score more than 13 points; effective:GCS score more than 9 points; invalid: GCS score did not change; worse:GCS scores were reduced. The experimental data analysis package were analyzed statistically by SPSS18.0 software, measurement data using t test and repeated measures analysis of variance, compared the effect of count data using chi square test and rank sum test. P<0.05 had significant difference.ResultsCompared with the control group, the treatment group in 1 weeks after the improvement of GCS score level is significantly higher than the control group, and the final total effective rate of treatment group was 90%,56.7% in the control group, the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group treatment effect (P<0.05). The treatment group and the control group can effectively reduce the level of CRP and PCT levels; however, compared with the control group, the treatment group was significantly decreased in the beginning of the treatment after 24 hours, CRP level and PCT level there, and 48 hours,72 hours and one week later, CRP level and PCT level are more obvious decline, the statistically the difference (P<0.05). In comparing with the final hospitalization expenses and time, the average level of two aspects of the treatment group were lower than the control group (P<0.05).ConclusionXingnaojing injection can inhibit the growth of bacteria, enhance the immune function, inhibit inflammatory reaction and protect brain tissue function, thereby improving the disturbance of consciousness, such as early intervention, the huge role in the control of septic encephalopathy in patients with the disease and improve the prognosis, and can significantly reduce the hospitalization expenses and ICU in patients with ICU the hospitalization time.
