| ObjectiveThis clinical study was designed to study the Governor transferred through acupuncture treatment of children with ADHD clinical efficacy and safety, and in contrast with western medicine group. Governor transferred through acupuncture treatment of children with ADHD efficacy and safety through objective evaluation, expected to provide a new method for the treatment of ADHD.MethodsThe patients were selected from the clinic during January 2014 to January 2015.68 cases of patients with ADHD in the Xin Tiandi Chinese medicine clinics of Taiwan were clinically diagnosed. Treatment group (34 cases transferred through Governor acupuncture treatment),34 cases in the control group (western medicine). Western diagnostic criteria refer to "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, DSM-IV" the fourth edition of the diagnostic criteria of TCM syndromes diagnostic criteria and standards for ADHD regular higher level key reference materials, "Chinese Academy of Pediatrics’ (Traditional Chinese Medicine Press) relevant diagnostic criteria. All patients met the inclusion criteria were observed according to design requirements, treatment, patients using simple random grouping method. The treatment group received acupuncture treatment was transferred through the Governor, the main points of Ojo, long and strong, dovetail, dialectical Distribution Point:Heart deficiency type:add Xinyu, spleen, Zusanli; kidney liver Wang type:ACP Creek, Sanyinjiao, between the lines; Tanhuo God disturbance type:add Leong, less government, Sanyinjiao. Acupuncture once every other day,14 days for a course of treatment, a total of four courses. The control group with western medicine, drug altruistic forest, each 5-10mg, 2 times a day, at breakfast, lunch half an hour before each serving a second, usually less than a day 30mg,14 days for a course of treatment, a total of four courses. The evaluation indicators are:"Chinese disease diagnosis and efficacy standards" TCM syndrome score standards development, SNAP-IV Rating Scale, Raven associative mental determination. The evaluation standard reference mainly TCM syndrome criteria, the clinical efficacy and standard SNAP-IV rating scale scoring rate.ResultsBefore treatment was transferred to the Governor through acupuncture group and western medicine group of children with gender, age, duration, type the number of cases of TCM, TCM syndrome score, SNAP-IV Rating Scale total score, Raven’s intelligence analyzes were determined by scores no statistically significant, indicating that clinical data comparable between the two groups.Comparison of the clinical efficacy and evaluation criteria were as follows:①TCM Syndrome ADHD scoresAcupuncture can be transferred through the Governor improvement after short-term treatment of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder to some extent syndromes performance of its long-term effect is more significant. Short-term efficacy of western medicine is not obvious, but after four cycles of treatment can relieve the symptoms of children with clinical medicine to some extent. From the terms of overall efficacy in children with ADHD to improve the performance of syndromes, transferred through the Governor acupuncture and Western medicine has obvious advantages.② TCM syndromes of the comparisonGovernor transferred through acupuncture group, the treatment of restless hyperactivity, learning difficulties, five upset hot, sweating syndrome scores before treatment, the difference was significant (P<0.01); to say more than words, wayward impulses, distractibility, poor sleep easily frightened, poor appetite than the pre-treatment score also decreased (P<0.05); and irritability, dry mouth, polydipsia syndromes no significant improvement (P> 0.05).Western medicine treatment group, the hyperactive, restless after treatment significantly improved (P<0.01); say multilingual, impulsive self-willed, distractibility, learning difficulties, five upset hot, night sweats, loss of appetite compared with before treatment statistically significant difference (P<0.05).③ before treatment SNAP-IV rating scale scores compareAfter 28 days of treatment, was transferred to the Governor through acupuncture for improving children’s SNAP-Ⅳ ADHD Rating Scale total score has a role, after 56 days of treatment, the situation is more obvious decline in its score. Western medicine treatment group may improve after prolonged treatment in children with a certain degree of SNAP-IV ADHD Rating Scale total score. Therefore, for the mitigation of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, hyperactivity headstrong, learning difficulties and other aspects of clinical manifestations, was transferred to the Governor through better compared acupuncture therapy in Western medicine.Two SNAP-Ⅳ rating scale attention deficit, hyperactivity, other symptoms of the score comparisons:after four cycles of treatment, was transferred to the Governor through acupuncture group in attention deficit and hyperactivity of the total score, and Western medicine treatment group compared to the score was statistically significant reduction (P<0.05); in other symptom score, the two groups was not significantly different (P> 0.05). Results indicate that acupuncture can be transferred through Christ better improve the symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children, if you can not concentrate on learning, everyday life is easy to forget things, susceptible to external stimulation and distraction; for wayward hyperactivity symptoms, transferred Governor Tong Acupuncture is also more pronounced than the effect of western medicine.④ Raven’s intelligence scores determinedAfter 28 days of treatment, was transferred to the Governor through acupuncture, Western medicine treatment had no significant effect in improving the level of intelligence of children with ADHD; 56 days after treatment, was transferred to the Governor through acupuncture group, intelligence western medicine group were improved determination of the total score, Raven’s determination of a non-verbal intelligence type of intelligence tests, their scores with the intelligence level is proportional, which showed that the two treatments can improve the level of intelligence of children with ADHD, but no significant difference between the two treatments.⑤ TCM syndromes comparative assessmentGovernor transferred through acupuncture treatment group control rate, markedly effective, efficient and inefficient respectively 17.65%,52.94%, 20.59%,8.82%, and the total effective rate was 91.18%; Western medicine treatment group control rate, markedly effective, efficient and inefficient respectively 5.89%,29.41%,35.29%,29.41%, the total effective rate was 70.59%. By Ridit analysis, Z= 3.96, two TCM syndrome effect was statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Tip:After four cycles of treatment, was transferred to the Governor through acupuncture therapy for children with ADHD improve Syndrome, compared with western medicine alone, with better clinical efficacy.⑥ ADHD Symptoms EvaluationGovernor acupuncture group was transferred through the clinical cure rate, markedly effective, efficient and inefficient respectively 11.76%,38.24%, 32.35%,17.65%, the total effective rate was 82.35%; Western medicine treatment group clinical cure rate, markedly effective, efficient and inefficient respectively 5.88%,23.53%,41.18%,29.41%, the total effective rate was 70.58%. By Ridit analysis, Z= 1.59, difference in efficacy was statistically significant ADHD symptoms (P<0.05). Tip:After four courses of treatment, in terms of improving children with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder symptoms, was transferred to the Governor through acupuncture therapy is more obvious than Western medicine.ConclusionIn summary, the clinical efficacy was transferred to the Governor through acupuncture and Western medicine treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children have a better, including the performance of TCM syndrome (restless hyperactivity, learning difficulties, five upset hot, sweating, anorexia), to a certain extent, reduce the SNAP-Ⅳ Rating Scale total score, improving children with attention deficit hyperactivity headstrong, learning difficulties and other aspects of clinical performance, and improve the level of intelligence of children. However, in terms of improving the performance of TCM syndrome, transferred through Christ than western medicine, acupuncture advantage; for reducing children with ADHD SNAP-Ⅳ Rating Scale total score, was transferred to the Governor through the acupuncture group after short-term treatment after can be effective, but short-term efficacy of western medicine group is not obvious. About raise the intellectual level of children with ADHD, the difference between the two treatments was not obvious. In contrast, in improving children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder symptoms, transferred through the Governor acupuncture than western medicine has a greater advantage. |
