| ObjectiveThis research paper reviews the effects of Arctiin total lignans, Epimedium basis and pharmacological on flavonoids, mainly for the subcritical Arctium oil extraction technology, Arctiin dregs after extraction process, inspection and optimization parameters:to Arctiin, Arctigenin, Icariin as standards established by HPLC-UV method-mixing quality standards Epimedium extract-the active ingredient groups, Arctiin total lignans, Epimedium Flavonoids and compounded extract of type 2 diabetes in rats lead to osteoporosis.MethodsThree different solvents were used to extract oil from Arctiin using subcritical technology. The solvents were butane, dimethyl ether, and tetrafluoroethane (R134a). The amount of oil extractions by each solvents were compared to Arctium oil yield, and slag total lignan content to determine the best extraction solvent. Arctiin butane solvent extracted 18% oil, and the slag content showed the highest total lignans. Alcohol was boiled and mixed with distilled water to get the precipitation. By using the single factor survey to get the result,70% ethanol concentration was the optimal concentration of extracted,8 times the amount of ethanol as the best extraction dose, refluxed for one hour, Arctium slag component was sufficiently extracted ethanol, refluxed for 3 times with distilled water to purify and the weight of the dregs needed 12 times the amount of water, added distilled water and brought it to boil to get precipitation, under reflux for 60 minutes, the Arctiin total lignan content was up to 50% and transfer rates up to 80%.ResultsUsing Arctiin, Arctigenin, Icariin as a reference. Then use the HPLC-UV method to measure total lignans amount in Arctiin, Flavonoids amount in Epimedium. And the amount of total lignans and Flavonoids in the mixed of Arctiin and Epimedium.ConclusionThis part of the study of type 2 diabetes is caused by osteoporosis in rats. Rats were given STZ (streptozotocin) injection, and continuously fed with a high-fat diet to induce experimental rats model of type 2 diabetes lead to osteoporosis. The experiments were divided into six groups:1) normal group,2) model group,3) Arctiin high-dose group,4) high dose Epimedium group,5) Arctium-Epimedium compatibility ratio (1: 1.5) group, and 6) Arctium-Epimedium compatibility ratio (1.5:1.0) group. The experiments were administered for 16 weeks. Compared the administration of week fourth and week sixteenth to get the high dose group of Arctiin total lignans, Epimedium Flavonoids, and the Arctium Epimedium group with different compatibility proportion to observe the effect on type 2 diabetic rats lead to osteoporosis fasting Glu, TC, TG, OGTT (glucose), and observed the effect of calcium, phosphorus, urinary phosphorus, urinary calcium, phosphorus bone, calcium bone, osteocalcin (BGP), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), insulin (INS), creatinine clearance (CCr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) role. The results showed that the Arctiin total lignans extract, and the Epimedium Flavonoids extract had hypoglycemic effect. Arctium extract worked well on lipid-lowering effect than Epimedium extract. As the time of administration, a mixtured of Arctium extract and Epimedium extract had better effects on lowering lipids and hypoglycemic than a single herb. Compared with the model group, Arctiin-Epimedium compatibility ratio (1.5:1.0) group from the INS increased plasma insulin levels to see more action than the other treatment group. Arctnium-Epimedium compatibility ratio (1:1.5) group from the BGP levels was better than the other treatment groups in improving the role of osteocalcin in rats’plasma. By comparing groups with each other, the group that had the high dose Epimedium extract and the group of Arctii-Epimedium different compatibility proportion of calcium from bone phosphorus, bone biomechanical level gave the better effect than other treatment group and increased the element of bone formation and bone’s density in rats.Arctium-Epimedium compatibility ratio (1:1.5) group from the creatinine clearance (CCr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels gave better protection and improvement on renal function than using other drug groups. |
