Objective:To investigate the clinical and pathological features and molecular classification of breast cancer in elderly women, to provide a theoretical basis for the development of clinical individualized treatment plan and prognosis. Methods:In this study i retrospectively analyzed 75 breast cancer patients over the age of 65 which were treated in Breast and Thyroid Surgery, Shandong Provincial Hospital since May 2010 to November 2014,all patients were implemented surgery and not doing radiotherapy and chemotherapy before surgery。All surgery went smoothly and all confirmed as breast cancer by Pathology after surgery, Underwent surgery immunohisto-chemistry, TNM staging of breast cancer according to AJCC and UICC (sixth edition) will be divided into four:14 cases of stage Ⅰ, Ⅱ of the 49 cases, Ⅲ+ IV in 12 cases, which confirmed lymph node metastasis in 22 patients,53 patients without lymph node metastasis cases. And randomly selected 130 patients aged <65 years patients as controls, compare the estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR)and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2)of the two groups by Immunohistochemistry.Get on the Chi-square test by the use of SPSS 13.0 software, P <0.05 as statistically significant。Results:1.1The histological of the two Groups.Divided the elderly group and non-elderly group into invasive non-specificity of cancer, invasive cancer and other types of particularity (Including intraductal carcinoma, papillary carcinoma et al).Two tissue pathology has no significant difference (p>0.05)。2.2 The immunohistochemical and clinical manifestations of the two Groups:The ER and PR-positive patients in Elderly patients (≥65 years of age) was significantly higher than non-elderly group (p<0.05); while the HER-2-positive and lymph node metastasis in patients with constituent ratio were lower than non-elderly group (p <0.05); TNM staging of patients were stage II are based, but the III+IV patients of older patients was significantly lower than non-elderly group, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05); comparing two groups of patients the tumor size differences no statistically significant (p> 0.05).Conclusions:2.1 The Pathological type of Elderly and non-elderly group of patients are Mainly to Invasive ductal carcinoma.2.2 The ER, PR of Elderly female patients ER group have a higher expression rate than women under the age of 65 years, and the proportion of patients that above the III clinical stage and with lymph node metastasis decreased obviously, these all shows that compared to younger patients, elderly women with breast cancer are low degree of malignancy, invasion weak, has a relatively good prognosis and have a better effect of endocrine therapy.2.3 HER-2 expression rate of elderly patients was significantly lower than non-elderly group, Prognosis is better.
