Part Ⅰ Using ferritin achieving from 405 normal women to forecastthe low bone massObjective To study the factors that are related to the low bone mass of normal women and evaluate the performance prediction of ferritin on decreased bone mass. Methods This study induced of 405 women from January 2011 to December 2012 whose ages were between 22 to 88 years old. Drawing blood with empty stomach determine the biochemistry and serum ferritin. Bone mineral density(BMD) in femur and lumbar spine were measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. According to the T value of BMD divided into normal bone mass group and low bone mass group. In order to use the Pearson correlation analysis, multiple stepwise regression analysis brings the parameters, using the ROC analysis to evaluate the estimated performance of the parameters to decreased bone mass in women. Results The BMD of hip has negative correlation to age, ALP, HDL, and ferritin and has positive correlation to BMI. The BMD of lumbar has negative correlation to age, ALP, r-GGT, UREA, TC, α-HBDH and ferritin and has negative correlation to LDL. The age, ferritin and ALP influence BMD with multiple stepwise regression analysis. ROC curve shows that AUC of age is 0.744 and the 95% confidence interval is between 0.699 to 0.786. Ferritin ’s AUC is 0.682 and has a 95% confidence interval between 0.634 to 0.727. ALP ’s AUC is 0.652 and has a 95% confidence interval between 0.634 to 0.689.Conclusion Age, serum ferritin and ALP close correlation to BMD. The first factor to forecast the decreased bone mass is age. Ferritin is better than ALP to forecast the decreased bone mass.Part II Study on the influence factors of Low bone mass inpostmenopausal womenObjective To explore the influence factors of Low bone mass in postmenopausal women. Methods This study induced of 240 postmenopausal women from June 2013 to August 2013 whose ages were between 45 to 84 years old. Use the method of electrochemical luminescence to gauge the serum ferritin. Bone mineral density(BMD) were measured by quantitative ultrasound. According to the T value of BMD divided into normal bone mass group and low bone mass group. C lassify serum ferritin by using the ROC analysis. Bring into the parameters by using chi-square test and logistic regression and estimate the influences of parameters to postmenopausal women. Results Ferritin ’s AUC is 0.753 and has a 95% confidence interval between 0.693 to 0.806 and the cut point is 141.4μg/L. Chi-square test shows that age, Fer, history of falling, daily exercise, drinking milk, eating calcium and history of fractures have statistical differences(P<0.05). Logistic regression shows that the OR of age, Fer and history of fractures are 3.185, 4.662, 9.485 and they have positively correlated with low bone mass. The OR of eating calcium is 0.295 and it has negative correlated with low bone mass. Conclusion Ferritin has a certain predictive ability of the low bone mass in postmenopausal women and there may be a predictive value. Age, Fer and history of fractures are the risk factors when eating calcium is a protective factor.
