| Objective:To explore the changes in mRNA and protein expressions of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) and choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) and growth-associated protein 43 (GAP43) in atrial fibrillation patients and sinus arrhythmia patients.Methods:Real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blot were used to detect mRNA and protein expressions of TH and ChAT and GAP43 in atrial tissues of 45 patients.Results:mRNA and protein expressions of TH and ChAT and GAP43 were significantly different between the sinus rhythm and atrial fibrillation groups (P<0.05). there was no statistical difference between the two nationalities within each group.Conclusion:Atrial remodeling of autonomic nerve is one of the pathogenesis of atrial fibrillation. |
