Observation Of The Effect Of Needling Laogong On The MCA Blood Flow Velocity PI And RI On Patients With Migraine

Objective:By acupuncturing Laogong point on the sick side of the migraine patients,with the transcranial doppler ultrasonography (TCD) to observe the influence of bilateral Middle cerebral artery(MCA) blood flow velocity and PI、RI at different time points,to provide some references for the treatment of the migraineMethod:Selection of 30 migraine patients in strict accordance with the standard requiremrnt. request the experimenter repose around 10 min, in its respiration,pulse and bloodpressure all obtain steady state after the experiment. Required to participate in the experiment of patients within 48h before the experiment, and in the process of the whole experiment to ban smoking,drinking and taking drugs. By using transcranial doppler (TCD) ultrasonic instrument to record the Vs (systolic blood flow velocity) biggest MCA, Vd (diastolic maximum blood flow velocity),Vm (mean blood flow velocity), the RI (pulsation index) and PI (impedanceindex) data of the bilateral Middle cerebral artery(MCA) after acupuncture Laogong point on the sick side of the migraine. at 10 minutes before acupuncture、after the needle insertion、after the needle stimulation、at the time of the needle removal and 10 minutes after the needle removal time point for data record. Then established the database to do the statistics analysis.Results:1. When we acupunctured the sick side of the Laogong point,at the moment of the needle removal and 10 minutes after the needle removal the sick side MCA’s Vs reduce significantly and the Vd increase significantly compared with the time of 10 minutes before acupuncture(P<0.05); at the moment of 10 minutes after the needle removal,the Vm increase significantly(P<0.05); at the moment of the needle removal and 10 minutes after the needle removal thePI and RI reduce significantly compared with the time of 10 minutes before acupuncture(P<0.05).2. When we acupunctured the sick side of the Laogong point, on the healthy side of the MCA each time point parameters does not change significantly(P>0.05).Conclusion:1. When we acupunctured the sick side of the Laogong point,at the moment of the needle removal and 10 minutes after the needle removal the sick side MCA’s Vs reduce significantly, but theVd increase significantly, and at the moment of 10 minutes after the needle removal the sick side MCA’s Vm increase significantly, show that acupunctured the Laogong point has cumulative effect and after effect,the effects were related to the decreasing of the MCA’s vascular resistance and the adjusting of the sick side MCA’s vascular function of Systolic and diastolic;2. When we acupunctured the sick side of the Laogong point, on the healthy side of the MCA each time point parameters does not change significantly.
