| Objective To compare the right ventricular septal pacing and right ventricular apex pacing of short-term and mid-term effect on intraventricular and interventricular synchrony. Methods 100 patients with atrioventricular block require permanent pacemaker implantation were collected from 2013 Jun. to 2015 Jan. All patients were randomly divided into right ventricular septal pacing and right ventricular apical pacing group. Ultrasound and 12 lead ECG were performed at 1st and 9th month after implantation, respectively. Pacing parameters as threshold, impedance and Sensing function pacing ECG and contour of QRS wave were analyzed. Distances between ventricular electrode top to pulmonary valve and sternal midline were measured, respectively. Then, Time to peak systolic velocity represent QRS wave to the beginning of each segment was calculated for evaluating intraventricular and interventricular synchrony. Results There is no significant different in pacing threshold, sensing and impedance between two group. At the end of short-term and mid-term follow-up, Interventricular and intraventricular synchrony in RVS group was superior to that in RVA group obviously(P < 0.05).Conclusion Right ventricular septal pacing present better effect on ventricular synchrony than right ventricular apical pacing. |
