Background:Heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophagus which also knows as the esophagus entrance path or esophageal inlet patch spots are congenital orange island shape esophageal gastric mucosas. They mainly locate in the upper esophagus which mostly cause a series of clinical symptoms. The detection rate ranged from 0.1% to 10% as esophageal heterotopic gastric mucosa which mostly located in the cervical esophagus is easily missed diagnosis and need to be carefully exam. The endoscopy can easily missed must be carefully examined in order to find, so the detection rate ranged from 0.1% to 10%. Increasing number of people concern about this disease as ectopic gastric mucosa in the proximal esophagus could cause acid secretion, a series of symptoms of throat and esophagus.Goal:Research the relationship between heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophagus with clinical symptoms such as acid reflux, heart burn, throat discomfort etc.Method:Working on a prospective observational study on patients who receive continuous gastroscopy from March to September in Digestive Endoscopy Center of Zhengzhou University People Hospital, in order to analysis the relationship between heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophagus with clinical symptoms. We inquiry the patients about their clinical symptoms in last three months before they have gastroscopy and save the result. During the research, we find non erosive esophagitis which was considered to have reflux symptom are resulted have no reflux esophatitis under endoscopy.Result:2009 informant from all inquired patients were include in final data set. There are 160 patients check out to be Heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophagus (7.96%). In these 160 patients,24 patients have globus in throat (15.3%),21 patients have dysphagia (13.4%),57 patients have acid reflux (36.3%),56 patients have heartburn (35.7%). There are 245 patients who do not have Heterotopic gastricmucosa patch of the esophagus have globus in the throat (12.2%),195 patients have dysphagia (9.7%),614 patients have acid reflux (30.5%),558 patients have heartburn (27.7%). From Logistic regression analysis, there is no significant relations between globus in the throat and acid reflux, no significant relations between globus in the throat and heartburn. There is also no significant relations between globus in the throat and reflux esophagitis and esophageal gastric mucosa globus. There is a difference detection rate (P< 0.05) between the test result of gastroscopy and ordinary endoscopy. Gastroscopy has a higer detection rate of Heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophagus than original endoscopy. There is statistically significant. The result of logistic regression analysis illustrates that the different detection rates of ectopic gastric mucosa in the esophagus have a relationship with the different operator. Conclusion:There is no significant relationship between Heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophatitis and globus in throat. There is no significant relationship between Heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophagus and reflux esophatitis. Meanwhile, it is also not significant between Heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophagus and acid reflux and heartburn. As there a limited number of patients suffer from Heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophagus, it is still need to enlarge sample and cooperate with other breath subjects. There is statistically significant. The result of logistic regression analysis illustrates that the different detection rates of ectopic gastric mucosa in the esophagus have a relationship with the different operator. There is a difference detection rate between the test result of gastroscopy and ordinary endoscopy. Gastroscopy has a higher detection rate of Heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophagus than original endoscopy. All of above indicate that detection rate of Heterotopic gastric mucosa patch of the esophagus could be regard as an evaluation index of esophagus text.
