Objective:To investigate the relationship between different feeding ways and lactose intolerance in infants with diarrhea to guide the reasonable feeding.Method:Selecting 746 infants who suffered from diarrhea and treated at pediatrics of the fifthAffiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from Jaun.2013 to March 2014, the antibiotic associated diarrhea, allergic diarrhea and infectious diarrhea were excluded by asking their history, combining with the clinical features and improving the relevant laboratory testing. Residual 417 infants were asked about their feeding mode in detail, and they are grouped by their different feeding, dividing into breastfeeding group included 148 cases, the formula milk feeding group included 126 cases and mixed feeding group included 143 cases. Then 417 infants’urine was tested the urinary galactose by Urinary Galactose Test Kits, making statistical analysis of its general situation, the characteristics of diarrhea, accompanied by symptoms, the duration of breastfeeding breast-feeding group and lactose intolerance test results and studying the relationship between different feeding ways and lactose intolerance in infants with diarrhea. Results:(1) The infants with lactose intolerance in 417 cases with diarrhea was 234, and the positive rate was 56.12%. To compared with the general situation 、the characteristics of diarrhea and the simultaneous phenomenon of LI positive and LI negative group, the differences were not significant(P>0.05). (2) The positive rate of Lactose intolerance were respectively 48%,62.7%,58.7% in the breastfeeding group, the formula milk group and the mixed feeding group, the difference were significant(P<0.05).(3) The morbidity of lactose intolerance was significantly different between duration of exclusive breastfeeding in less than 4 months and more than 4 months (P<0.05).Conclusion:The infants of giving the formulamilk feeding and duration of exclusive breastfeeding in less than 4 months havelactose intolerance diarrhea easily, so we should advocate breastfeeding actively in order to ensure the growth and development of infants.
