Purpose:To compare the clinical effect of intramedullary fixation and extramedullary fixation in treatment of intertrochanteric fracture.Method:60 patients of ITF were divided into two groups (treatment group & control group). We applied closed reduction and intramedullary nail fixation to treat in treatment group,30 patients in control group were treated by open reduction and internal fixation. After the treatment, we compared the operation time, amount of bleeding during operation, postoperative drainage, average fracture healing time, complication and hip function score of two groups’patients, and evaluated the effect of two ways of treatment.Result:The results indicated:in the aspects of average operation time, amount of bleeding during operation, postoperative drainage and average fracture healing time, the treatment group was better than control group(P<0.05); the complication rate of the treatment was 3.33%, the control group was 10.00%, it was statistically significant differences (P< 0.05); in treatment group, excellent in 14 cases, good in 13 cases, fair in 2 cases, poor in 1 cases, the fineness rate was 90.00%; in control group, excellent in 10 cases, good in 13 cases, fair in 5 cases, poor in 2 cases, the fineness rate was 76.67%; the fineness rate of treatment group was significantly better than the control group (P<0.05)Conclusion:Compared to extramedullary fixation, intramedullary fixation had characteristics of less trauma, less complications and rapid resumption of the disease, it is worthy to extensive.
