Social barriers have been the core symptom of the children with autism.Research shows that it is related to autistic children’s empathy defects which refers to the perception, recognition and understanding of others’ emotional state. It is divided into emotional empathy and cognitive empathy. Autistic children’s empathy defects mainly mean that they cannot correct perception recognition expression and can’t understand the others’ emotional state and a lack of empathy ability as well. So children with autism often cause all sorts of problem which may bother parents and teachers a lot in the social activities. The ability of rising empathy will contribute to help autistic children reduce the inappropriate behavior in social interaction, improving social communication skills and expand their inner emotional experience,which will help autistic children integrated into society in a better way. Therefore,scientific and timely empathy intervention is very necessary for them. This study designs a set of complete intervention program from the perspective of emotional empathy and cognitive empathy for autistic children to discuss the training effect of autistic children’s empathy ability and maintain status.The research object of this study is about four children with autism, using a single subjects of cross subjects more test experimental design, and use visual analysis and simplification of time series analysis of C statistics quantitative analysis. At the same time, it combines with the observation and the interview method to analyze the intervention effect of the social validity.This study is consisted of three parts: the first part is the literature review of the study, which is mainly about the definition and diagnosis of autism and intervention method; Then it introduces the definition of empathy and the characteristic of empathy in children with autism; Then empathy intervention for children with autism in previous research method for generalization. The second part is through the test of single subjects across subjects more test experimental design, using the empathy training scheme to four empirical intervention training subjects. The training plan includes music evoke emotional training, mirror imitation game, animation, auxiliaryteaching, emotional picture books to read. Expression in the different stages of intervention for the research object of imitation test, expression recognition and understanding emotional state, through quantitative analysis and the social validity analysis, the results showed that after intervention training four object expression to imitate the correct number and the number of facial expression recognition correct improve and maintain the effect is good, there was no marked improvements in the understanding of emotional state.
