| Objective:The purpose of this analysis was to determine the obstructive factors involved in pregnant women’s decision making with regard to influenza vaccination in Beijing Chaoyang Pregnant Women and Children Hospital.Methods:Weinterviewed480pregnant women and33healthcare workers in January2014by a questionnaire which was completed in a face-to-face interview.Results:1.The pregnancy prevalence of chronic disease (10.11%) is about6times of non-pregnancy (1.80%). Incidence of flu-like symptoms(3.82%) is about3times of25-59years old permanent population(1.03%)in the Chaoyang districtduring the same period.2.The rate of pregnant women flu vaccination willingness is15.28%, is about5times of non-pregnancy (3.60%).Three main reasons of rejection are immunization safety to fetus, immunization safety topregnant women, do notget any vaccines during pregnancy.3.In the aspect of flu and influenza damage during pregnancy,33.39%pregnant women do not know what is influenza susceptible crowd,73.76%of them think that influenza during pregnancy cannot cause pregnant women to death,47.71%of them think flu cannot cause dead-birth,38.76%of women do not think flu can cause serious complication.There arethe characteristics of neglecting the seriousness harm of infection during pregnancy and underestimatingoftheir susceptibility. In the aspect of flu vaccine and policy,58.02%of pregnant women do not know the recommendation policy of Beijing,84.16%of them do not know the recommendation policy of China and WHO. Pregnant women consider the flu shot can raise the risk of getting flu(50.69%), abortion (69.04%), premature delivery (71.56%), fetal malformation and birth defect (76.38%),but can protect the little baby to prevent influenza(48.39%).76.53%of them do not know the inoculation time. Influencing factors of inoculation during pregnancy:harm cognitive level(χ2=6.989, P<0.00001),vaccine cognitive level(χ2=25.318, P<0.0001),elderly parturient women(x2=8.803, P<0.005),the first baby(χ2=5.578, P<0.05),family members’influenza vaccination(χ2=9.545, P<0.01).4.Only22.73%obstetrician and48.48%health care physician had been immunized againstinfluenza.72.73%of health care physician and 80.95%of obstetrician consider the flu vaccine is insecurity.69.70%doctors think the vaccine cannot protect the baby and expectant mother.90.91%of health care physician and100%of obstetrician do not know the policy of China and WHO.Doctor’s recommendation is important to pregnant women,but only6.06%doctors want to do it, the main reason is lacking the safety/efficacy awarenessof the vaccine.5.pregnant women more concerned about the advice from the obstetricians(31.15%) and pregnant women class(16.12%),doctors more concerned about the advice from theDepartment of Health(25.37%/26.32%)ã€WHO(23.88%/23.68%) and CDC (19.40%/23.68%)Conclusion:The rate of pregnant women flu vaccination willingness is low. High harm cognitive level, high vaccine cognitive level,elderly parturient women,the first baby,family members used to get influenza vaccination are five influencing factors of inoculation during pregnancy.Three major obstacles to pregnant women flu vaccination are shortage of flu and influenza vaccine related cognitive to pregnant women,shortage of flu and influenza vaccine related cognitive to doctors,shortage ofpolicy support. Suggestions to improve the flu and influenza vaccine cognition of the obstetrician priority, at the same time to carry out targeted pregnancy related health education to pregnant women and women of childbearing age. Adding the pregnant women to preferred influenza vaccine inoculationof Beijing area and making the recommend vaccination work during pregnancy clear into the obstetrician job responsibilities encourage them to recommend improving the rate of flu vaccinationin pregnant women. Using a variety of forms of influenza vaccine related health education to maternity health care physician, fertile women and pregnant women. Pay attention to the obstetrical department, the website of Department of Health, and the pregnant women class. Carry out related influenza vaccination research during pregnancy in our country, toperfect the flu vaccination policy on pregnant women. |
