Objective: According measured the workload and satisfaction of nurses in the First AffiliatedHospital ICU of Shihezi University Medical College to analysis the factor of nurses workloadand job satisfaction by themselves, provide a reference for resource management of nurses.Methods: Methods: Using observation, cluster sampling, cross-sectional survey study. Jointnursing activities score (NAS) and score of nurse satisfaction to evaluate their workload andsatisfaction to themselves, to analysis the factor of nurses workload and job satisfaction tothemselves.Results: A Nurses activity score are as follows: the score of nurses activity in day (10-18) andevening (18-2) shift in one week was not statistically significant (P>0.05), in evening (18-2)and night (2-10) were statistically significant (P<0.05). The workload of nurses in10-12,19-21,0-2and7-9were highly intensity, nurses were overworked. The top three effective workinghour projects in all of14projects in the table were to write special care records, shift changes,the condition observed. The last three were nasal, oral care, bed sponge bath. B) The results ofnurses own satisfaction: the average score of the job satisfaction of ICU nurses was2.95±0.48.Interpersonal relationships, success and responsibility, management and hospital policies werethe top three. Wages and subsidies, job schedule arrangements and conditions, the balancebetween family and work were the last three. The factor of different incomes, titles and ages innurses job satisfaction were significant differences (P<0.05). There was no significantdifference in other factor of nurses’job satisfaction. C) The correlation analysis between nursesactivity and satisfaction: the balancing between family and work, shift arrangements andworking conditions, wages and subsidies were positively correlated with NAS scores(P<0.05).Conclusion: We could get the workload of nurses in different times and the fact of thesatisfaction of nurses through measurement the clinical workload of nurses at different times,and provide a reference for resource management of nurses, rational use their time and make aflexible scheduling.
