Analysis On The Waist Circumference And Hip Circumference Of Mongolian Students Aged6to8

[Objective] To learn the distributions of waistline and hipline and agecharacteristics among Mongolian students aged6~18in2010; to analyse the gendersand area characteristics of the variables; to provide a scientific basis for the students’health study.[Methods] In the physical investigation of students nationwide in TongliaoMongolian in2010, we got a total number of6607people effectively. First weanalyzed and compared the waistline and hipline among urban girls, urban boys,rural girls and rural boys. Through a Bivariate correlation Analysis among age,waistline and hipline, we calculated the correlation coefficient r and did a t test.[Results] There is a high positive correlation between the average of waistline,hipline and age among students aged6to18years in Mongolian Tongliao City in2010. The level of waistline and hipline increases with age（P＜0.05）. Waistline andhipline of urban girls and urban boys are higher than those of rural girls and ruralboys. Parts of the age groups have a significant difference（P＜0.05）. Waistlines andhiplines of urban boys are highest.[Conclusions] The level of waistline and hipline increases with age amongstudents aged6to18years in Mongolian Tongliao City in2010. The characteristicsand patterns of this increase accord with the general law in growth and development,and gender. In the present study, there is not statistically significant urban-ruraldivide, indirectly reflects the nutritional status of urban and rural students andawareness of healthy has been improved significantly.
