Background: Atopic dermatitis(AD(Atopic eczema)- is an inflammatory condition of skin with a chronic or intermittent course with wide spectrum of clinical manifestations. Objective: The aim of this study was to analysis the peculiarities of the clinical, allergol ogical and epidemiological profile and the difference of the parameters of the disease between different age groups from 12 years in patients with atopic dermatitis. Methods: We conducted a Descriptive study on 65 patients between March 2013 and March 2015 at the 2nd hospital of Dalian Medical University. The diagnosis was carried on the William’s criteria and of Hanifin and Radjka criteria. For every patient we studied the biographical, demographical data and the clinical manifestations of AD. Allergoloigical explorations(patch-test, pricks-tests, blood test) were carried out. In this selected 65 patients with AD(of which 31 men and 34 women) to estimate the prevalence and assess other features of AD such as distribution of lesions, personal history, family history of atopy, aggravating factors, associated symptoms, and morphological variants. All data were compared andanalyzed statistically using SPSS software. P value were calculated by Chi-square analysis. Results: Out of 65 patients we studied, 31 were males and 34 were females, with most of patients are in between 19 to 60 years of age(83%). Home environment including pets and plants are common aggravating factors. Sea food was among the leading factors among other food allergens. Polyester clothes caused allergy in 62% of patients too. Change of season is also one of the common aggravating factors in the onset of the disease. We raveled important feature regarding personal health and which is that it’s not important how many times patients are taking bath, but it’s important which precautionary measures they are taking, for example patients who use cold water and not using cream after bath are more prone for disease.Levels of Eosinophils is in direct relation to severity of AD, similarly level of Ig E tends to be high in the patients with severe SCORAD group. Pruritus, dryness and lichenificationis the common symptoms that appear in Chinese population whereas Cheilitis was significantly associated with females only. Our results also showed that the conventional therapy can be effective to most of the patients, and the hormonal therapy is giving side effects to 75% of the patients. Conclusion: 1) Based on our analysis we conclude that the AD can be prevented by taking the precautions, and factors can be vary from patient to patient. 2) Change in life style greatly reduced the risk of disease development. 3) Patients should not delay in seeing doctor because most of our patient’s course of disease was more than six months. 4) Conventional hospital therapy at Dalian Medical University is able to cure most of the patients effectively(90%)...
