Objective To observe the relationship between peritoneal function and RRF (residual renal function) in PD patients, as well as the effect of Baoshen tablets on peritoneal function in patients with PD.Method Study one:47 followed-up patients with PD were included from 2011.3 to 2014.2 in Nephrology of Jiangsu Provincal Hospital of TCM. Collect clinical data, calculate D/Pcr and RRF, count occurrence of peritonitis in PD patients, and perform the peritoneal equilibration test (PET). According to the dialysis age, patients were divided into two groups, including short-term PD group (<12 months, n=29) and long-term PD group (>12 months, n=18). According to the peritonitis frequency, patients were divided into low peritonitis incidence group (<2 times per year, n=32) and high peritonitis incidence group (>3 times per year, n=15).To observe the relationship between D/Pcr and RRF in each group. Study two:14 followed-up PD patients accorded with the inclusion criteria were reviewed from 2014.3 to 2015.2 in Nephrology of Jiangsu Provincal Hospital of TCM, including 7 cases in treatment group and 7 cases in control group. Besides basic therapy of PD and taking Western medicine for 6 months as control group, patients in treatment group received Baoshen tablets. Changes of D/Pcr. peritoneal ultrafiltration volume, serum albumin (Alb), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) were observed in two groups before and after treatment.Results①There was negative correlation between RRF and D/Pcr in short-term PD group (P<0.05), however, there was no significant difference between D/Pcr and RRF in long-term PD group (P>0.05). D/Pcr in long-term PD group were significantly higher than that in short-term PD group, there was significant statistical difference between them (P<0.05);②There was no significant correlation between D/Pcr and RRF between low incidence group and high incidence group, D/Pcr in high incidence group were significantly higher than that in low incidence group, the difference between two groups has statistical significance (P<0.05);③ D/Pcr in high peritonitis incidence group was higher than that of low peritonitis incidence group, the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). Correlation between D/Pcr and the level of Alb was negative (r=-0,49, P<0.05). TC, TG and D/Pcr showed a negative correlation (TC: r=-0.64; TG:r=-0.35; P<0.05), while RRF and the level of Alb was positively correlated (r= 0.37, P< 0.05). TC and TG were negatively correlated (TC:r=-0.52; TG:r=-0.23; P<0.05). The level of RRF was positively correlated with Alb (P<0.05,r=0.37), but negatively correlated with TC and TG (TC:r=-0.52; TG:r=-0.23; P< 0.05);④D/Pcr had no significant difference between control group and treatment group (P>0.05); D/Pcr increased after treatment in treatment group, but the difference has no statistical significance (P>0.05). D/Pcr decreased in the control group after treatment, but the difference has no statistical significance (P>0.05). UF increased in the treatment group after treatment of 6 months, but the difference has no statistical significance (P>0.05). UF increased in the control group after 6 months’treatment, the difference has no statistical significance (P>0.05); ⑤Alb increased in the treatment group after treatment of 6 months, the difference has statistical significance (P<0.05). TC and TG slightly decreased, but the difference has no statistical significance (P>0.05). Alb increased slightly in the control group after 6 months’ treatment, with TC and TG decreased slightly, the difference has no statistical significance (P>0.05).Conclusion ①PD patients show a trend in high peritoneal transport with the degradation of RRF.②Peritoneal transport function was influenced by the factors such as dialysis age and peritonitis.③Alb decreased and blood lipids elevated in patients with high peritoneal transport function and low RRF.④Baoshen tablets do good to improve the level of serum alb.
