Effect Of Electric Acupuncture And Acupoint Injection On Bone Metabolism Of Primary Osteoporosis

Objective:Primary osteoporosis is a common disease in postmenopausal wo m en and old men,the re ar e t wo hun dred million people with osteop orosis in the w orld now.The traditional Chinese medicine have no disease named "osteoporosis",but the cause and pathogenesis of the disease are similar with “guku”、“gubi”、“guwei”、“guji”、“gushi”and so on which recorded in the ancient TCM books.The treatment of osteoporosis in Traditional Chinese medicine is various,as one of very important treatment method,acupuncture and moxibustion made significant contribution to improve the life quality and relieve symptoms of the general patients with osteoporosis.This issue made the electric acup uncture therapy com bined with acu point injection therapy,and compared with conventional drug treat osteoporosis,to make the thinking approach broader in finding better clinical diagnosis of primary osteoporosis. Method:The patients who visit the department of acupuncture and moxibustion’s outpatient service and ward in Wuhan Integrated TCM and Western Medicine Hospital between June 2013 to December 2014,wa s co lle cted a s th e re se arch obje ct, th e 62 pat ients wh o met in clusion cri teria we re ran domly div ided i nto the group treated with electric acupuncture and acupoint injection and the group treated with drug,with 31 cases in each,the treatment group fall off 1 cases,the total loss rate of 1.61%,a to tal of 61 p atients co mpleted t he task.T he treatment gr oup wer e trea ted wi th elec troacup uncture combi ned with acup oint inje ction,treated on alternate days, a course of treatment is one month, treated thr ee cour ses con tinuous.The control group oral afar calciferol,the conventional anti-osteoporosis drug,for 3 months.The changes of BMD、bone me tabolism in dexes and the pa in sco res of t wo gro ups of patients we re re corded bef ore and af ter trea tment respectively, and use SPSS19.0 statistical software for statistical analysis and comparison to evaluate the therapeutic effect of two groups of patients. Result:1.Comparison of the efficacy of the main symptoms or signs:After the treatment,the total effective rate of patients in trea tment group was 9 0.0%,the to tal eff e ctive ra te of th e control group was 7 7.4%.The clinical efficacy on primary osteoporosis of electroacupuncture and point injection group is better than conventional western medicine group, the com parison bet ween th e two gro ups P < 0.05, the differ ence is sta tistically si gnificant.2.The comp ar ison of bo ne me tabolic in dices:after treatment,the bone gla protein(BGP) levels of two groups of patients were both incr eased(co mpared w ith b efore treatment, P < 0.05), El ectroac upun cture p lus ac upoint injection effect on the rise of BGP is superior to drug group(P < 0.05);the β-Crosslaps of two groups all reduced after treatment(P<0.05),theβ-Crosslaps of electroacupuncture plus acupoint injection group reducing more significant.3.The comparison of pain scores:After treatment,The p ain sco res of two groups were bo th dec reased,elec troa cupu ncture pl us acu point inject ion g roup decreased significantly(P < 0.05), with sta tistical dif ference.4.The comparison of bone mineral density numerical:After treatment,the two groups’ bone mineral density both increased than before,but both two groups’ increase are not obvious, no statistical significance.5.The comparison of safety index:No obvious change of various in dexes of t wo gr oups of pat ients be fore and after treatment;two gr oups of pat ients were not fainting during acupuncture treatment and also no other side effects, the control group appeared only a few patients had mild digestive system symptoms.In relieving clinical sym ptoms and imp rovi ng t he osteoporosis bo ne me tabolic mar kers of primary osteoporosis patients,elect roacup uncture p lus ac upoint injection and conventional drug therapy all have good effects, but the ef fect of ele ctroac upunc ture plus a cupoint injection therapy is more rem arkable comp ared wi th conve ntional dr ug the rapy.The bone mineral density’s increase of two groups of treatment on showed no significant changes,the ch ange of b one min eral density need longer cycle, it have little significance to this topic.
