Nevus Fuscoceruleus Zygomaticus (NFZ) is a relatively common dermatosis whose lesions predominantly affect the zygomatic and temporal. Less frequently, it can be found in the eyelids, nasal ala. They showed no subjective symptoms of a circular or oval boundary clearly exist in isolation, blue-gray or brown spots, which are usually symmetric in distribution. With the improvement of people’s living standard, people are paying more attention to the NFZ that can cause harmful damage to their skin. NFZ is clinically a very young disease, not only its name, but also the pathogenesis, classification of TCM syndrome and treatment are relatively blank. Therefore, investigation of the clinical characteristics of its present patients, analysis of the relevant risk factors of its occurrence and development and evaluation of its impact on people’s life quality, and research on TCM syndrome group and syndrome differentiation of TCM in this disease, all of these are of great importance for the prevention of its onset and development and are very necessary for the future treatment of traditional Chinese medicine.Purpose:In this study, based on the clinical data of 102 patients with NFZ, trying to explore the potential pathogenesis and investigate the scientific nature and feasibility of NFZ syndrome differentiation of TCM by the research of the disease’s syndrome. So these can provide a reliable clinically evidence for preventing and relieving the disease and its future treatment with TCM.Methods:From May 2014 to March 2015, using the questionnaire designed by three major researchers to investigate the patients with NFZ from dermatology department of Chinese medicine hospital in Jiangsu province. According to the criteria of this study, a total of 102 patients were collected. These patients were matched 1:1 to carry out case-control study. All the data collected are input into Excel to build database, and then adopting SPASS 19.0 to carry out statistics analysis. As for the results of control group, using conditional logistic regression multi-factor and single factor analysis to screen out major risk factors, and at the same time collecting the examination information of case group. About the screen of TCM syndrome group cluster, adopting variable clustering method to determine each class representative syndromes and reasonably summing up TCM syndromes.RESULTS:Single factor analysis indicated that the mean value of eight items is p< 0.05, including sclera pigmentation, pigmentation of tongue fungiform papillae, adnexitis, irritability, depression, worry, poor emotion and genetic factors. Multi-factor analysis sclera pigmentation, pigmentation of tongue fungiform papillae, adnexitis and genetic factors the mean value of these four items is P<0.05. In addition, the onset of the NFZ is associated with the pregnancy and insolation. The results of cluster analysis demonstrate:the first pattern of syndrome is stagnation of liver, deficiency of vital energy and blood stasis; the second is yang deficiency. Due to less information, the third type is not valid. The questionnaire of life quality shows three average scores of the appearance of the skin, the depression and disappointment of the patient and the worry for increased pigmentation are relatively high, having an impact on patients’life. Conclusions:The combination of sclera pigmentation, tongue fungiform papillae pigmentation, uterine annex inflammation and genetic factors has significant implications for the pathogenesis of NFZ, while pregnancy, sunbath and emotional factors and morbidity are also closely related. The common TCM syndromes are stagnation of liver, deficiency blood stasis and yang deficiency. The disease increases the psychological pressure of patients,so exploring the etiology and TCM syndrome type is helpful to prevent and reduce the occurrence and development of disease, providing clinical evidence for future treatment of Chinese medicine.
