Objective:The effect of Guanxinping on atherosclerosis in ApoE-/- mice (AS) and plaque, lipid (TC, TG, LDL-C), Toll like receptor 4 (Toll-like receptor 4, TLR4), transcription factor kappa B (factor-K B p65 nuclear p65 NF-B p65, NF-), kappa B inhibitor protein (inhibitor of nuclear factor-kappa B alpha, I kappa B alpha) phosphorylation, IkB kinase (IKK) phosphorylation level.Methods:ApoE-/-mice were given normal diet group, high fat diet than fed group, 3 months after the confirmation of successful model, normal group, model group were given equal volume of distilled water, atorvastatin group (6.67mg/, kg/d) of Guanxinping group (1.2g/kg/d), Guanxinping+atorvastatin group (1.2g/kg/d +6.67mg/kg/d) respectively, the drug dissolved in distilled water by gavage for 1 months. After 3 months of treatment, observed before and after treatment in different groups of mice after AS plaque and blood lipid (TC, TG, LDL-C), changes of serum TLR4, p65,I of B NF-kappa kappa B alpha phosphorylation, IKK phosphorylation.Results:Guanxinping could reduce the AS plaque, reduced blood fat (TC、TG、 LDL-C)、serum TLR4, NF-κB p65, IκBα phosphorylation, IKK phosphorylatio level.Conclusion:Guanxinping have anti AS effect, its mechanism may be related to decrease blood lipid, inflammatory factor.
