Combination Of Chinese Traditional And Western Medicine To Cure Essential Hypertension

The paper mainly utilize the dialectical thoughts of Chinese medicine combing modern medicine researches to make targeted research on EH in experimental and clinical aspects in order to find a way to combine traditional Chinese and western medicine to lower blood pressure stably.Objective:To find the best method to combine traditional Chinese and western medicine to treat EH, thus better control EH patients’blood pressure keeping their blood pressure in normal range and to minimize the incident of cardiovascular disease 1. Meanwhile, also to reduce the probability of disability and death cause by other diseases. Starting from the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, we summarize the main TCM symptoms of the EH patients selected and specify the advantages and disadvantages of the treatment of EH with the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine. The above way could help the EH patients find clear thoughts and method to treat EH and lay foundation of thorough, viable and effective treatment.Methods:Clinical investigation method. To collect 327 primary EH patients who are living in various department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University. EH patients applying TCM treatment combined with western medicine to control their blood pressure are divided into treatment group and the others who use only western medicine to control blood pressure are divided into contrast group. All the 327 patients in the two groups are asked detailed information about their basic situation of the disease, clinical symptoms, physical examination, personal life history, past medical history, family history,, characteristics of symptoms, Chinese and western medicine diagnosis, the application of TCM, Western medicine application etc and a database of TCM syndrome and its main accompanied symptoms that is based on patients’syndrome is built.Result:The survey investigates the hypertension patients from the aspects of etiological factors, invasion sites, symptoms, syndromes factors, syndrome types and so on. The top three main clinical symptoms of EH are "yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity", "deficiency of kidney Qi" and "liver yang hyperactivity", and the three symptoms occupy a proportion of 26.3%,21.1% and 15.0%. Stasis and phlegm retention take place many times in accompanied symptoms. In regard with treatment, the significant efficiency and total effectiveness of the treatment group are 70.3% and 94.9%; While the significant efficiency and total effectiveness of the contrast group are 44.7% and 82.9%. Compare the total significant efficiency of the two groups, we learn that p<0.05; Compare the total effectiveness of the two groups, we learn that p<0.05. The above data show that treatment group significantly outperforms the contrast group in the aspects of significant efficiency and total effectiveness.Conclusion:The main invasion sites of EH are sites like heart, upper orrfices, liver, spleen, kidney etc. And these sites have crucial relations with phlegm evil, stasis, yin deficiency and other syndrome factors. The clinical experiment shows that the treatment group has more significant therapeutic effects:easing patients’pains, improving patients’clinical symptoms, preventing complication, improving the activity of daily living, reducing diverse reactions and reducing patients’ dependence on western medicine. But the specific clinical effects need to be further explored. The combination of Chinese traditional and Western Medicine have made a large number of clinical researches on prevention, treatment and pathogensis of EH, and have made some achievements. With people’continuous clinical research on EH, we get a more profounding understanding of the disease. Besides, we get more specific understanding of the etiology, pathogensis and syndrome type which can better guides the combination of Chinese traditional and Western Medicine to cure EH.
