Object: To investigate the angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) gene insertion / deletion(I / D) polymorphism and elderly patients with unstable angina pectoris(UAP) and TCM syndromes. Methods: Collected in the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan College of January 2014-February 2015 hospitalized and diagnosed with the standard of elderly patients with unstable angina 60 patients(32 males, 28 females), mean age(67.87 ± 5.82 years), and healthy control group of 30 patients(18 males, 12 females), mean age(70.23 ± 5.32 years), the use of clinical observation method, developed to observe and analyze the clinical observation of the table, record the patient’s general information, fill in admission examination of total cholesterol(TC), high density lipoprotein(HDL), triglycerides(TG), low density lipoprotein(LDL), 64-slice spiral CT coronary imaging and other clinical data. Meanwhile, according to the clinical symptoms and signs of 60 patients TCM syndrome differentiation, into blood stasis, non-blood stasis type 2 groups. The outer peripheral blood specimens from patient specimens, Methods DNA extraction kit to extract DNA, by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) to detect the ACE gene polymorphism, compared with 30 normal controls, and observed with plaque stabilization relationship and UAP TCM Type. SPSS19.0 statistical software package to establish a database, and data management and analysis, the final result.Results:(1) The UAP group of triglycerides, LDL-C was significantly higher, while high-density lipoprotein was significantly lower than the control group, and there was significant difference(P <0.05); Relationship between UAP group and control group between ACE genotype(2): There is increased by χ2 test showed UAP group DD genotype and D allele frequencies compared with the control group statistically significant difference: χ2 = 4.986, P = 0.026 <0.05; χ2 = 6.425, P = 0.011 <0.05;(3) the relationship between UAP TCM type and ACE genotype: Statistics show blood stasis type DD gene frequency and non-blood stasis type DD gene frequency comparison significant differences: χ2 = 7.143, P = 0.008 <0.05;(4) ACE genotype frequency in patients with different patch group: patients with coronary artery UAP group soft plaque 60(50%), medium-density patch 27(22.5%), calcified plaque 33(27.5%); soft plaque group of DD genotype and medium density plaque group was significantly higher than DD genotype calcified plaque, and the difference was statistically significant(P = 0 <0.01; P = O.026 <0.05);(5) UAP group TCM Syndrome and different plaque distribution is concluded through statistical χ2 test: P> 0.05, no significant difference.Conclusion:(1) unstable angina and ACE gene polymorphisms were significantly correlated; ACE gene DD genotype and D allele was significantly associated with unstable angina;(2) unstable angina blood stasis and ACE genotype significantly correlated;(3) unstable angina plaque instability and ACE genotype significantly correlated;(4) TCM syndromes of unstable angina and plaque instability no significant correlation.
