Clinical Observation Of Zini Buxinqi Decoction In The Treatment Of Chest Stuffiness And Pains With The Heartqi Deficiency Syndrome

Objectives To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Zini Buxinqi Decoction in the treatment of Chest Stuffiness and Pains with the Syndrome of Deficiency of Heart Qi, and to observe the curative effect, paying observation to the recovery of the patients with Chest Stuffiness and Pains, to define a new thought of treatment for the patients. At the same time. Based on professor Liu Yujie’s clinical experience in the treatment of Chest Stuffiness and Pains with the Syndrome of Deficiency of Heart Qi, and then we can better inherit and carry forward the diagnosis and treatment experience of Professor Liu.Methods 70 patients of Chest Stuffiness and Pains with the Syndrome of Deficiency of Heart Qi were collected from the Liu Yujie’s Outpatient of Tangshan Chinese Medicine Hospital between May 2013 to October 2014. All patients(from 40 to 70 years old)were conformed to the diagnostic criteria of TCM, diagnosis criteria of TCM syndrome, diagnostic criteria of chronic stable angina, patient selection criteria, who is not in the scope of the exclusion criteria. The treatment group took Zini Buxinqi Decoction, the control group took Qishen Yiqi Diwan. They were treated for 2 period of treatment, and which one would lasted 4 weeks. The following aspects were collected and analyzed involving the TCM symptoms, anginal symptoms, the dosage of nitroglycerin, resting ECG, index of laboratory examination before and after treatment, and recorded any adverse reactions occurring to judge the efficacy and safety of the two groups in truthfully.Results 1 Comparison of the efficacy of anginal symptoms between the two groups:the total effective rate in the treatment group and the control group were 88.89% and 61.76%, P<0.05, comparing the two groups have significant differences. 2 The decreasing-stopping rate of nitroglycerine comparison, the treatment group’s decreasing-stopping rate of nitroglycerine and the stopping rate were 86.20% and 27.78%, the control group’s decreasing-stopping rate of nitroglycerine and the stopping rate were 76.93% and 7.69%, P<0.05, there is significant difference efficacy between the two groups. 3 In the aspect of ECG efficacy, the total efficiency rate and the obvious efficiency rate were 72.22% and 11.11% in the treatment group, while they were 47.06% and 5.88% in the control group, P<0.05, then found the significant differences in the two groups by comparing. 4 For improvement of the TCM symptoms, the obvious efficiency rate of treatment group and control group were 52.78% and 29.41%, the total efficiency rate were 91.67% and 73.53%, with obvious difference. 5 The change of single TCM symptom indicated that, there was higher effectiveness of the treatment group than the control group, especially in improving the chest tightness, pectoralgia, shortness of breath, lassitude, tongue and other symptoms. 6 The serum lipids indexes compared between groups indicated that the treatment group and the control group had no significant difference in other indicators in addition to TC index. The serum lipids indexes compared intra-group before and after treatment showed that in the treatment group the level of TC, TG were significantly reduced, HDL-C, LDL-C, in the control group there was statistical significance on TG. 7 ATL, Cr, and BUN were not significantly different after treatment, no adverse reactions occurred during the study period.Conclusions 1 Zini Buxinqi Decoction has significant clinical effect in Chest Stuffiness and Pains with the Syndrome of Deficiency of Heart Qi, can effectively relieve clinical symptom, improve the ECG, relieved angina symptoms, reduce the dose nitroglycerin, decrease the level of TC and TG, furthermore it’s clinical effectiveness and security are reliable for patients. The precious experience should be all-pervading in clinical application further. 2 Deficiency of heart qi is the basic pathogenesis of Chest Stuffiness and Pains throughout the development of the disease, then results in various pathological products, including blood stasis, phlegm, qi stagnation, cold coagulation. Replenishing qi and nourishing heart is the essential and effective treatment method of Chest Stuffiness and Pains.
