| Objectives To compare the changes of symptoms, the adjustment of insulin dosage, the result of medical tests before and after treatment according to confirm the effect of Qin Lian Hypoglycemic Formula combined insulin on type 2 diabetic patients who impaired by wetness-heat.Methods 1 subject 98 type 2 diabetic patients with wetness-heat were collected from Tang Shan Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital between June 2013 and December 2014,who would accepted the treatment with Qin Lian Hypoglycemic Formula combined insulin. 2 methods All those 98 patients must conformed to the diagnostic criteria and patient selection criteria, which is not in the scope of the exclusion criteria.98 patients were divided randomly into two groups, namely, the treatment group(including 50 cases) treated by Qin Lian Hypoglycemic Formula combined insulin and comparison group(including 48 cases) treated by insulin. Both of the two groups were given Isophane Protamine Recombinant Human Insulin Injection(Pre-mixed 30/70) twice(half an hour before breakfast and dinner) everyday. And the treatment group plus Qin Lian Hypoglycemic Formula, which taken 200 ml decoction twice( half an hour before breakfast and dinner) everyday. They were both treated for 3 period of treatment, which would last 4 weeks. 3 obvervational index Established some indicator for further observation, observed and recorded the changes of the patient before and after treatment. Comparison of medical tests(Hb A1 c, FBG, PBG, BMI, TG, TC, LDL-C, HDL-C), insulin dosage and symptom scores were all conducted between the two groups, and statistical analysis in the following. The data above was all analysed by SPSS 17.0.Results 1 Hb A1c: Both of the two groups of Hb A1 c levels were all reduced after treatment, while the Hb A1 c levels of the treatment group was lower than the control group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). 2 FBG: After treatment both of the two groups of FBG levels were all reduced(P<0.05), while the FBG levels of the treatment group was lower than control group at 8 and 12 week(P<0.05).PBG: The PBG levels of the two groups were all reduced, while this level of treatment group at 12 week were lower than control group. 3 Blood lipid tests: Four items of blood lipid tests of the two groups were all reduced after treatment, while the level of TC and HLD-L in the treatment group was lower than control group(P<0.05). 4 BMI: The treatment group’sBMI level was reduced(P<0.05) after treatment, while the control group has no significantly changed. 5 Insulin index: The insulin dosage in the treatment group at 8 and 12 week and in the control group at 4 and 8 week were all reduced significantly. After the treatment the treatment group’s insulin dosage was lower than the control group at 8 and 12 week. The therapeutic time and insulin dose of blood glucose control of the treatment group was lower than the control group(P<0.05). 6 The frequency of hypoglycaemia: The frequency of hypoglycaemia in the treatment group was lower than the control group(P<0.05). 7 TCM symptoms: Total effective cases of the treatment group are 44 cases and the control group are 33 cases. And the total effective rate is 88.00% and 68.75%. The treatment group got obvious effect in TCM symptoms than the comparison group. 8 Security Index: The two groups of patients before and after the treatment on blood pressure, hepatic function, renal function, blood routine had not obvious abnormity and there was no adverse events occurred.Conclusions By taking the Qin Lian Hypoglycemic Formula combined insulin, the clinical lab index, TCM syndrome, insulin dose of patients were all decreased.This study indicates Qin Lian Hypoglycemic Formula had a certain effect on type 2 diabetic patients who impaired by wetness-heat. |
