Objective :To explore the relationship and clinical significance of the serum leptin level and blood lipid level of the Qinghai Tibetan patients with gallstones; To provide new clinical ideas for preventing the gallstones of the Qinghai Tibetan population. Methods: 37 Qinghai Tibetan patients who were diagnosed with gallstone were recruited, which were set as the gallstone group; 39 non-gallstone Tibetan outpatients at the same time were set as the control group. The radioimmunoassay was used to determine the patients’ serum leptin. The automatic biochemical analyzer was used to determine the patients’ serum lipids, which included total cholesterol(TC), triglycerides(TG), high density lipoprotein(HDL), low density lipoprotein(LDL), apolipoprotein a(APOA), apolipoprotein b(APOB).Results:1. HDL in gallstone group was significantly lower than that in the control group. 2. Whether in gallstone group and control group or as a whole, the female serum leptin levels were significantly higher than that of the male. 3.The female LDL and APOB in gallstone group were significantly higher than that in the control group.Conclusion:1.There isn’t obvious relationship about the gallbladder stones and the level of TC, TG, LDL, APOB, leptin, and APOA in Qinghai Tibetan people except the low level of HDL. 2.There may be gender differences about serum leptin in Qinghai Tibetan people, but which hasn’t obvious relationship with the formation of gallbladder stone. 3.The increase of serum LDL and APOB is one of the important factors in the formation of gallbladder stones about female Tibetan people in Qinghai.
