Objective : the aim of this study was to observe the effection of bifurcation lesions underwent jailed wire technique vs balloon stent kissing technique, relatively. Methods : A total of 64 patients with bifurcation lesions underwent percutaneous coronary intervention were radomly divided into two groups.A group( n=34) a standard coronary stent and a monorail balloon were successively advanced into the correct position over the lesion in the Main branch(MB) and side branch(SB), the SB balloon is first inflated to suitable pressure(6-10 atm), then the MB stent is immediately deployed to nominal pressure, and then the stent balloon and SB balloon are deflated simultaneously; the stent balloon is then fully expanded to moderate or high pressure.B group(n=30)a jailed wire was placed in SB,a coronary stent was placed into the correct position in MB,then the stent balloon is then fully expanded to moderate pressure.Procedural and immediate clinical outcomes were reviewed. Results:Periprocedural adverse events happenned in both groups,1 in A group(2.94%) and 6 in B group(20%),P<0.05;4 cases of B group had SB occlusion vs O case of A group,P<0.05.The minimal luminal diameter of MB in A group pre and pro procedure were 2.13±1.02vs3.74±0.54 mm,P<0.05,the minimal luminal diameter of SB were 1.91±0.58 vs 2.40±0.32 mm,P<0.05;B group, were 2.40±1.03 vs 3.90±0.51,P<0.05,and 1.98±0.48 vs 2.28± 0.92 mm,P=0.051.The duration of intervention(15.04±6.02 vs 18.35±11.80 min,p>0.05)and Contrast volume(112.06±30.63 vs 126.67±51.62 ml,p>0.05)had no difference between groups. Conclusions : In Brief, balloon stent kissing technique, as a prolongation technique originated from the Traditional jailed wire technique, is associated with a high procedural success rate, improved SB patency, and a low rate of immediate cardiac events. The long-term efficacy of Balloon-stent kissing technique need further large-scale clinical randomized controlled trials.
