| Purpose To compare the clinical outcomes between the anatomic single bundle technique and the conventional single bundle technique for anterior crucial ligament reconstruction. Methods From July 2010 to April 2012, there were 246 patients received anterior crucial ligament reconstruction in our hospital. Among them,127 patients underwent conventional single bundle technique between July 2010 to June 2011,from then on, we performed 119 cases by the anatomic single bundle technique. At last, there were 83 patients enrolled in this study, 46 cases in the anatomic single bundle group and 37 cases in the conventional single bundle group. The International Knee Documentation Committee(IKDC) grade, the Lysholm score, the Lachman test, the pivot-shift test and KT-1000 arthrometer side-to-side differences were evaluated at the last follow-up.Results There were no significant differences between the International Knee Documentation Committee(IKDC) grade, the Lysholm score, the Lachman test, the pivot-shift test and KT-1000 arthrometer side-to-side differences between the two groups. There were no infection, stiffness and graft failure in the two groups. But there is a trend of better pivot-shift test results for the anatomic single bundle technique group than the conventional single bundle technique group(P=0.064). Conclusion The anatomic single bundle technique had no evident advantages in clinical outcomes over the conventional single bundle technique, but the anatomic single bundle technique showed better rotational stalility control. |
