The Clinical Study Of"Tuina Tong Zheng Li"Plus Traction For Treatment Of Cervicalspondylotic Radiculopathy Of Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis Type

Objective: To observe the recent and long term therapeutic effect of "tuina tong zheng li" plus traction for treatment of cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type, and to compare the difference between "tuina tong zheng li" plus traction and acupuncture plus traction in terms of immediate analgesic, improvement of clinical symptoms and life quality of the patients.Methods: 81 patients with cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type were randomly divided into "tuina tong zheng li" plus traction group(treatment group, 41 cases), and acupuncture plus traction group(control group, 40 cases). For treatment group, use "tuina tong zheng li" plus traction, while the control group was treated by acupuncture plus traction. Treatment was carried out once a day, and 10 times make up one course of treatment, and all patients were treated for one course. To compare the differences between "tuina tong zheng li" plus traction and acupuncture plus traction in terms of immediate analgesic, improvement of clinical symptoms and life quality of the patients, by using 22 points method(modified) scales of cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type and visual analogue scales(VAS) as the observation index, and applying statistical processing.Results:(1) The total effective rate of treatment group and the control group were 90.2% and 87.5% respectively, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).(2) After the first treatment, compared patients of two groups for the VAS scores, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05); and the VAS scores of the control group were better than that of the treatment group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).(3) After one course of treatment, by intra-group comparison of the scores of 22 points method(modified) scales of the two groups, the scores were significantly improved and there were significant difference(P<0.05), and by comparison of the scores of 22 points method(modified) scales between the two groups, there were no significant difference(P>0.05). And for the follow-up period, by comparison of the scores of 22 points method(modified) scales between the two groups, the scores of the treatment group were better than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:(1)Both "tuina tong zheng li" plus traction and acupuncture plus traction are effective for the treatment of cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type, and the instant analgesic effect of acupuncture plus traction is better than that of "tuina tong zheng li" plus traction.(2) The long term curative effect of "tuina tong zheng li" plus traction for improvement of cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy symptoms of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type and the quality of the patient life was better than that of acupuncture plus traction.
