Objective:Comparing Percutaneous vertebral plasty(Percutaneous Vertebroplasty,PVP) and nonoperative treatment of the osteoporotic vertebral compression in fractures(Osteoporosis vertebral compressed fractures, OVCFs) clinical effect. Methods:Comprehensive retrieve relevant literature about OVCFs treatment at home and abroad, according to include and exclude standard screening document and extract the data, with the Review Manager 5.0.and software for Meta analysis. Retrieve the fixed number of year: 2000.1 to 2014.9. Results:Participants included six randomized controlled study. Meta analysis results show that: compared with nonoperative treatment, in the early phase of postoperative PVP(MD = 1.88, 95% CI(0.32, 0.57), P = 0.005) and long-term(MD = 1.39, 95% CI(2.10, 0.69), P = 0.001) can be significant pain relief, but the function of RDQ scores(MD = 0.43, 95% CI(2.15, 2.15), P = 0.62) and EQ- 5 d the quality of life scores(MD = 0.43, 95% CI(2.15, 2.15), P = 0.62) differences of no statistical significance, and the rate of new vertebral fractures(RR = 1.22, 95% CI(0.72, 0.72), P = 0.47) and the adjacent vertebral fracture rate(RR = 2.07, 95% CI(0.95, 0.95), P = 0.07) also no statistically significant differences. Conclusions:For osteoporosis vertebral compression fractures, percutaneous vertebral plasty is a safe and effective treatment method, can obtain good clinical effect.
